Photos: Friends bid farewell to Farrah Fawcett at touching funeral
Farrah Fawcett was laid to rest at a private funeral Tuesday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles.
Her longtime love Ryan O'Neal and best friend Alana Stewart arrived at the cathedral early, around 4 p.m, according to People.
Charlie's Angels costars, Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd (who replaced Fawcett on 70s show) also attended. Garry Shandling, model Cheryl Tiegs, novelist Jackie Collins, Joan Collins and Fawcett's ex Lee Majors, with whom she reconnected with recently after two decades, were also there.
Fawcett's son Redmond - who was allowed to leave jail (where he is serving a sentence for drug-related charges) to attend the service - helped carry her casket, decorated with yellow and orange flowers.
The funeral program featured a photo of Fawcett in a sequined dress. A James Joyce poem "At That Hour" was inscribed inside.
"Play on, invisible harps, unto Love,
Whose way in heaven is aglow
At that hour when soft lights come and go,
Soft sweet music in the air above
And in the earth below."
Farewell, Farrah. You will never be forgotten.

Even if i'm far far away from farrah's funeral, i just want to say, Goodbye Farrah Fawcett. The world will surely miss you. RIP
It's a shame that Farrah Fawcett's death was overshadowed by the hype of Michael Jackson's death.
News media seem's to ignore the tragic death of
Farrah Fawcett.
The last picture from her funeral is Beautiful. I adored her from age 8 and Im 42 and still do. I love that her farewell has been a good rememeberance and not a publicity scam.
A courageous woman, a decent human being and a great actress got little or not press being overshadowed by Michael Jackson. Disgraceful!

A funeral, what is it? It has to be to help the living because I'm sure the deceased knows nothing about it. It is too bad that the passing of Michael Jackson completely overshadowed the passing of Farrah. She was a person who was able to handle the trappings of fame better than Michael. It's sad that something couldn't have been done to help her so we could still have her here with us. The world needs people like Farrah Fawcett. My condolences to Redmond, he no longer has a mother. He has all my prayers and well wishes that he will be able to get his life together and learn to handle his problems without the need of drugs. We need to keep our heads clear to deal with life and find people who will help and support us during the bad times. Rest In Peace sweet Farrah!!
It is so shameful that a woman with so much courage through her illness and death got so little press coverage. Shame on the press for playing up Michael Jackson. He was a disgrace for his drugs, molestation charges, and a bad role model for children. Farrah deserved better...Shame, Shame on the Press!!!!!!!!!
