Elisabeth Hasselbeck sued by diet book author for plagarism? Delish!
Did "The View" star Elisabeth Hasselbeck rip off another woman's book?
Frankly, we'd believe that more easily than her writing her own book -- that seems like more of a stretch.
TMZ has a copy of a letter written by a woman who claims she sent Elisabeth a book called "Living with Celiac Disease" in April '08.
AP reports that Susan Hassett is claiming in a federal lawsuit filed in Boston that the celebrity infringed on Hassett's copyrights by publishing a book on celiac disease, titled "The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide," last month.
Hasselbeck only recently discovered she suffers from celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder linked to gluten proteins found in wheat, barley and rye.
A little over a year later, Hassett says Hasselbeck published "The G Free Diet-A Gluten Free Survival Guide."
Their names are so similar, maybe Elisabeth thought she actually wrote that book?

Looks like E.H. stole the first 5 letters of her name too. This is outrageous. How dare E.H. write a book on Celiac and title a chapter "What is Celiac? It's just wrong E.H. is a meanie.

Aside from "isles", I'm not sure that there is anything here that isn't found some way or another in other celiac books/celiac websites. I'm no fan of EHasselbeck. Despise her opinions, actually. Maybe some real reporting will be done with time (not that this deserves it compared with really important events). When did Hasselbeck sign her publication deal? There's a place to start...
