Who's paying for Nadya Suleman's surgery and two-week hospital stay?
Nadya Suleman has checked into the hospital to have surgery to remove fibroids from uterine walls.
But -- surprise -- there were ... complications.
No, they didn't find another baby.
The doctors "tried to do surgery to remove the fibroids, but she was bleeding excessively, so they stopped," Suleman's mother, Angela Suleman, told Us Weekly. "They are going to try again Monday."
Angela -- who says Suleman might be hospitalized for more than two weeks -- has not been to visit. Nor will she. But it's not because of their feud.
"She doesn't want anybody to go," Angela said.
First off, two weeks? Nadya can take two weeks off from caring for 14 children? And we can't even imagine the cost of a two-week stay. That's gotta be $250,000, easy.
Second, Nadya's going to be in the hospital two weeks (just for fibroids?) and doesn't want anyone to visit?

Why don't you send someone in to violate the Ca Patient Privacy Regulations so you can find out? I am sure the hospital would be thrilled. They could get a big fat fine like Kaiser just recieved.. With an article like this you are encouraging speculation and innuendo. Nadya Suleman has said she is paying for insurance for herself and her children. That means the insurance company is paying for the hospital stay.
When is someone going to start a serious investigation of this woman? Do we have to wait until one of those children are hurt?

This woman is a sad, sad individual -- I just hope taxpayers don't have to support her for decades.
So Debra, why don't you find out the truth. Because anything else is speculation.
Just like her first version of supposedly having half her uterus removed, this story reeks... it's highly suspect to suggest a Doctor would start a myomectomy, stop because of bleeding, only to reopen the uterus a couple days later for fibroids. This just does not add up. I'd love to hear a physician/obgyn comment on this story.

this whole story is just more lies. No Doctor would stop a myomectomy, resuture up the uterus , only to perform the same procedure again in a few days if there was hemorrhaging. A waiver must be signed before this procedure if there is excessive bleeding such as that the uterus is removed,... and that's even for women who want desperately to have a baby in the future and preserve their uterus... octo aready has 14 children and they are going to put her back under anesthesia and literally put her iife in danger attempting a procedure that caused hemmorhaging a few days earlier just to preserve her uterus? No way. Not to mntion the 2 week stay in the hospital is ludicrous for a myomectomy or any surgery. That she doesn't want anyone to see her probably means she wants swelling to go down, probably from plastic surgery..and she's just buying a room somewhere in the hospital to recoup for 2 weeks. I'm not sure, but I am sure hr version of this myomectomy and what's going on with this procedure is a lie. Check with a Doctor and they'll tell you the same thing. She's been lying about this since her first version saying they were going to remove 'half the uterus' because they suspect 'precancerous' cells.
Two weeks in the hospital for elective surgery seems a bit much. It sounds like she may be having some other plastic surgery, too, and doesn't want to be seen by the media. You go home after five days if you have heart surgery/bypasses. Why can't she go home to heal, since these fibroids are not cancerous and are being removed so that she can become more fertile. I still think that a hysterectomy would make more common sense for a mother of 14 children. I wonder why she feels she should go to the hospital for two weeks while her poor elderly Mom (who Nadya claims is so awful) is left in charge of all these kids. Maybe these issues should have been thought out more carefully when her Doctor asked her if she would consider selective reduction.
