Past waitress-lover George Clooney defends Rande Gerber in sex suit

George Clooney sprang to the legal defense of his good friend  -- and Cindy Crawford's husband -- Rande Gerber earlier this week.

To wit: Rande did not fondle that waitress!

In response to a sexual-harassment lawsuit against Gerber, Clooney released a statement: "I was with Rande the entire night --- as were a lot of people," he said about the night when two former female employees of a restaurant owned by Gerber claimed he tried to kiss and fondle them. "They will all say the same thing that I'm saying. This event never happened. Period."

One of the waitresses claims that Gerber tried to kiss her three times one night in 2008 at the Moonstone Lounge in San Diego, then "put his hand up [her] dress in between her legs in an attempt to fondle her crotch," TMZ reported.

"Mr. Gerber and Mr. Clooney will take lie-detector tests to prove that the allegations against Mr. Gerber are false," a Gerber Group spokesperson told TMZ Monday.

And we all know how much Georgie likes them cocktail waitresses.

Remember Sarah Larson?

They met in Vegas when she served him a few drinkie-poos, and they later dated for an interminably long year. He took his cocktail cutie all over the world, introduced her to all his famous friends, even brought her to the Oscars, all dressed up in borrowed designer duds.

Then he dumped her like a hot tomato after scandalous photos of her came out on the Web, thus returning to his single status and making the jealous female population of the developed world extremely happy.
