Kiefer Sutherland goes Jack Bauer, attacks fashion designer at party

After a few drinks, Kiefer Sutherland may believe he really is Jack Bauer.

Police told TMZ that the "24" actor head-butted Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough, reportedly after he bumped into actress Brooke Shields, at the Costume Institute Gala celebration at the Metropolitan Museum this week. Initial word was that Sutherland tried to get him to apologize and when he didn't, he jumped on him.

All you have to do is watch what an hard-partying Sutherland did to this poor Christmas tree a few years ago to feel for the designer dude.

But now Shields' rep denies that her client was involved in any way.

Shields' reps tell the press that McCollough, who designs clothes for Shields, "did absolutely nothing to her."

Page Six reported the incident, writing that Sutherland seemed intoxicated. According to their eyewitness account, "Sutherland was really drunk and he got accidentally bumped by McCollough. They started arguing and then he just head-butted him."

A spy who had spotted Sutherland earlier in the evening at the Gramercy Park Hotel's Rose Bar told Page Six, "He was running around wearing a giant feather boa and acting totally crazy."

You cannot torture and physically abuse fashion designers, Jack!

There are laws in this country against this behavior! Even the president can't save you now. You'll have to go on the run again.

Did we forget to mention that Sutherland is still on probation in L.A. for a DUI? And he did jail time?
