Woody Harrelson thinks paparazzi are zombies? We'll have what he's having.

Woody Harrelson does not deny his caught-on-camera alleged attack on a TMZ paparazzo at New York's LaGuardia Airport last week.

But he has a really good excuse. Are you ready? Seems he mistook the persistent pap for one flesh-eating walking dead.

"I wrapped a movie called 'Zombieland,' in which I was constantly under assault by zombies, then flew to New York, still very much in character," Harrelson said in a statement issued by his publicist, according to EW.

"With my daughter at the airport, I was startled by a paparazzo, who I quite understandably mistook for a zombie," he said.

In "Zombieland," Harrelson plays a man running for refuge from blood-thirsty zombies who have overrun the planet.

Wow. Give the guy credit for staying in character.

Is that the best -- and funniest -- excuse ever?

Or is Harrelson gonna be found guilty of contempt of court and contempt of paparazzi?
