What's on Angelina Jolie's summer reading list? Not 'Twilight'

Angelina Jolie has her hands very full.

Angelina-book What with raising six kids, shooting her new action spy thriller "Salt," doing her international children's charity work and keeping her hunky husband, Brad Pitt, happy, it's a miracle she has time to read a book.

So what does she read to relax and escape from her busy life?

The 33-year-old actress was seen toting around 'War of Necessity, War of Choice: A Memoir of Two Iraq Wars' by Richard N. Haass, on the New York set of "Salt."

Far from light summer reading, the book is part history and part memoir, and it examines how the U.S. can apply the lessons learned from the two Iraq wars to avoid repeating the same mistakes there or elsewhere.

Hmm. Has Barack Obama read this book and how it applies to Afghanistan? Just wondering.

Beauty AND brains!....Angelina really inspires women in so many ways.... LOVE HER!!

I can't wait to see her new film "Salt", but it's great to see she has other intellectual interests and that she's serious about learning more about international issues that affect the refugees she travels in support of. Angelina is really unlike any other actress we've ever seen. To combine her talent, humanitarianism, motherhood, uniqueness, industry power, Icon status, Oscar winner, and overall BADASS-NESS into one life seems to be more than the general public has experienced...EVER! Go Angie!

Don't be silly. She is not reading this book. It is one of the books published by the CFR which she is obligated to promote via pap shots. She would not be able to understand it.

Nice to see she's doing her homework... Angelina Jolie recently joined the Council on Foreign Relations - an organization spawned from the infamous RIIA (Royal Institute of International Affairs), that every person interested in policy-making, or rather the making of global policy in a totally non-democratic and elitist fashion, knows all too well, and she's just reading this piece of absolute drivel written by Richard N. Haas, who happens to be the CFR Chairman. So, she's just doing her homework like a good girl, swallowing CFR proganda about the Iraq war, so that she doesn't sound too stupid or uninformed when meeting with her new global elitist friends. With John Voight now standing publicly at the forefront of the American Patriot/Liberty movement, could this be seen as a new episode in a seemingly neverending Daddy/Daughter vendetta ?

A real shame, for what appeared to be a very intelligent, independent, and seemingly benevolent woman.

Good lord the CFR sure has some strange powers according to the tin hat brigade. Obviously Jolie has been very involved and interested in these issues for nearly 10 years now.

What is sad is that a person reading something other than popular pablum is considered odd & newsworthy. It's probably a fascinating book.
