Susan Boyle ditches her dumpy look. Has she gone Hollywood already?
"Britain's Got Talent" singing sensation Susan Boyle appears on the cover of the British tabloid The Sun with a startling new look.
Gone is her matronly gray frizzy hair and those bushy brows, frumpy frock and old lady pearls.
Now she has freshly dyed and styled reddish brown locks and newly shaped eyebrows. She definitely does look hipper and younger. And we like the black leather jacket, khaki pants and Burberry muffler. Not what we would have expected to see her wearing AT ALL.
But let's hope she stops here and doesn't head for the tanning booth or the gym. Or worse, to the dermatologist for some Botox and filler.
Toni Jones, assistant fashion editor of The Sun, praised Boyle for getting a 35-pound ($51) haircut and color locally at Miss Toner salon in Whitburn, near Blackburn, West Lothian, instead of going to a swanky shop in London.

She shouldn't of changed, she was perfect the way she was,.
She is adorable! I wouldn't say that's a radical makeover; it's more like some "fine tuning". She is going to be a star in some big musical, I just KNOW it!
I for one do not have a problem with the way she looks. I personally think this was all a set up from the start, by both herself and the show. She intended to come off as some one who most people would dismiss, either intentionally or because that is how she has always been treated. But know that she has decided to cut her hair and pluck her eyebrows, people are complaining that she is not ugly enough. And the reason... because now she cannot be their cause du jour. She was judged for her looks at the audition, and she is still being judged by her looks. That is why I have always took offence to this media hype.
What woman can refuse a make-over, ey? Even Oprah does make-over shows on a regular basis. We just love them.
Let her catch a break. :)

Nothing wrong with a bit of self-improvement. Anyone entering a new phase of life would/should update their look. No harm done. She looks nice. Everything in moderation, I would not be surprised if she loses a few pounds.

The scarf isn't the best choice. I seem to recall hearing that the Burberry tartan has become low-class in the UK.
Other than that, 2 eyebrows are better than one. She looks great!
I agree--she was perfect the way she was. Some might say it was matronly, but there are certainly matronly people in the world too. I'm tired of people trying to look "hip" but just looking like every other person attempting to look hip. Ugh. And I know, off topic, but enough with the neon already...
