Both the U.S. and French first ladies -- Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy -- looked more than a little dumpy wearing baggy bowed coats in Strasbourg at the NATO luncheon.
Michelle was in an eye-popping Thakoon number.

Did no one ever school Mrs. Obama in the proper way to sit on a sofa? Deplorable!
Beside the fact that it's not the first lady's job-above-all-else to look good, I think they both look lovely and clearly put effort into each outfit. Bruni-Sarkozy's outfit is especially great, jacket included. I would say that these two deserve absolutely no criticism for either look!
