Madonna's Jesus crucified by other models on N.Y. runways
The recession has hit the fashion runways. And the claws have come out.
And at the Jeffrey Fashion Cares event last week at NY's Espace, male models were acting jealous of all the work that Madonna's model beau, Jesus Luz, is getting.
"None of the other models would talk to Jesus or even look at him," a source tells the New York Daily News. "They were gossiping like catty girls about how they couldn't wait for his career to fizzle out."
The green-eyed monsters might be jealous because Jesus was given the honor of walking first. And he's reportedly stealing other male models' jobs.
"He's taking jobs from other models who feel they've worked harder and longer than he has," says one industry insider. "Madonna has catapulted Jesus on to the world's stage. Sure, he's beautiful, but he wouldn't be where he is without her."
Madonna's dear designer pal Marc Jacobs even wrote a letter of support for the model's work permit to allow him to stay in the country.
And Luz will reportedly star in Dolce & Gabbana's fall-winter menswear campaign
"He has a big, swollen head," says a Madonna camp pal.
Apparently, the other models think he's no Gisele Bundchen.
