Jessica Lange calls 'Grey Gardens' a 'great love story'

Jessica Lange talks about working with Drew Barrymore in the poignant, bittersweet but amusing tale of "Grey Gardens" that premieres Saturday on HBO.

The actresses play mother and daughter, "Big Edie" and "Little Edie" Bouvier Beale, two charming eccentric socialites and relatives of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis, who wound up living like recluses in a decaying East Hampton mansion with dozens of cats and raccoons, amid piles of garbage and refuse.

She told The Dish Rag that she and Drew shared "a great generosity of spirit," and had a "chemistry that you can't manufacture, and it was very fortunate for this, for what I consider to be a great love story."
