'Britain's Got Talent' shocker Susan Boyle sets Twitter on fire!

Susan Boyle Stuns Crowd with Epic Singing - Watch more Funny Videos

Susan Boyle, a 47-year-old singleton from a small village in Scotland, who's never been kissed and lives with her kitty named Pebbles, shocked the "Britain's Got Talent" audience and the judges with her performance of  "I Dreamed a Dream."

If you missed seeing this, be prepared to laugh and cry.

What a plucky little gal. It took some major gumption to get up there and face those snickering people and snarky judges.

The Wall Street Journal reports that as of 11 a.m. EST Thursday, the YouTube video of her appearance had been viewed more than 12.3 million times.

And she's set the blogosphere on fire and fans a-Twittering. "When a dowdy, homely, 47-year-old woman sings beautifully, it is headline news," Tamar Abrams blogs in a Huffington Post article headlined "Susan Boyle: Talent Without Judgment."

A fan has launched a fan site at susan-boyle.com that already has more than 5,000 members.

Steve Rosenbaum, chief executive of Magnify.net, which hosts the site, told the WSJ that the domain was registered after the show aired in the United Kingdom on Saturday. Traffic rose from more than 27,000 page views Monday to 167,000 Tuesday and 461,000 Wednesday.

Even Ashton Kutcher posted a link on his Twitter site to Boyle's YouTube clip, along with the comment, "This just made my night." Added Demi Moore, "You saw it made me teary!"

According to the WSJ, TweetStats, which monitors recurring terms on Twitter,  "Susan Boyle" has been a top trend on Thursday morning

Isn't this Tweet?

Does Susan Boyle have a shot at a singing career?

Or will she go back to her village and her cat, happier for having accomplished her dream of singing before a large audience?

Will she set a new trend in eyebrow shaping?

And who should star in the movie of her life? Helen Mirren? Judi Dench? Angela Lansbury?

Incredible! How could that talent go unnoticed for so long. She sounded like a trained singer. I have read that she only sang for the local church choir. Much more should be in store for her if she wants it.

Good for her! How cool that a plain jane like that is taking the world on fire! I love this-i just love this!

I have read some very nasty comments (on other websites) about this lady who has the gusts at the age of 47 young to step out on stage and prove that you don't have to looks and a bunch of dances be hide you like Britney and Lindsey to have talent! If anything what you see is the wonderful hand of God at working! And if I may say God Bless her! Now let us see if Britney or Lindsey can top that real talent!

Hi. As an Englishman I should just point out you've upset the whole of Scotland with the line "Susan Boyle, a 47-year-old singleton from a small village in England". Susan lives in Scotland, a proud nation, and like England is part of Britain (hence the shows title - "Britains Got Talent"). I think she's wonderful too! Good Luck Susan.

Regards - Ernie

God bless her. She is truly a professional and a person not only extremely talented but a person filled with passion and love. She is a breath of fresh air. Their has never been talent this good on American Idol or any other talent contest. I look forward to purchasing her first album. Thanks Simon for giving her the credit she very much deserved.

We are so unaccustomed to hearing singing voices welling with depth and range, the quality of a Pavarotti, Lena Horne or Patsy Cline- when we do they bring tears to our eyes. And true, she looked ordinary when she came on but she beamed after, and was absolutely beautiful.

There is something wrong when we have reached a time that someone who has such remarkable talent is judged by three people who never would be able to open thier mouths and sing at all. Let alone come near matching such talent.

I never waste time on shows where the judges can't match the judged. Why would anyone?

wow. what a angel of a voice, and so humble. she will be a good example on how not to under estimate anyone.. i wish her great succes

Every time someone implies that God had his hand in this. Why can't this poor woman have done this on her own without God's help?

Why wouldn't God help with not letting her get oxygen deprived at birth or let her mom live to see this. It just seems childish to decide that someone's simple life has just become glamourous through the hand of God himself.

She is soooooooooooooo ugly.
