Did Michael Jackson's Escalade sideswipe an ambulance?

Yesterday afternoon, a black Cadillac Escalade sideswiped an ambulance that was idling in front of Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Two EMTs were inside the ambulance at the time of the accident.

Then, according to one of the medics, things got weirder. The Escalade's driver reportedly got out of his vehicle, umbrella in hand, and headed to the hospital's entrance. Emergency medical technician Jamin Mauro says he got out of the ambulance to take photos of the damage for insurance purposes. The Escalade had knocked a mirror off of the ambulance.

That's when, allegedly, the driver met Michael Jackson at the hospital entrance, and the two jumped into the Escalade and drove off.

"I don't know if Jackson told [the driver] to leave or not," Mauro told NBC. "But they should have stayed."

The Beverly Hills Police Department statement follows:

"The suspect's vehicle, a dark colored SUV, struck a parked vehicle causing moderate damage to the victim's vehicle. The suspect's vehicle was being followed by a group of paparazzi at the time of the collision."

Note to celebrities: Try not to break the law -- well -- in general, but especially while you are being pursued by the paps. Because if this was in fact Jacko, it won't be long before photos and video of the incident surface.
