Carrie Prejean is dating Michael Phelps! Does Granny know he hit a bong?
Miss California Carrie Prejean's wacky granny Jeanette Coppolla is blabbing to reporters about her anti-gay-marriage granddaughter dating Olympic swimmer/bong-puffer Michael Phelps.
"Carrie and Michael have been out to baseball games and lunch," Coppolla told RadarOnline. Apparently, he calls her when he's in town and they go "out."
Granny says Carrie knows that Michael has dated a lot of girls, but she enjoys going out with him and isn't serious about a relationship with him. 
She says, "He's a nice guy and she likes him."
That's more than Jeanette told Billy Bush earlier this week.
She clammed up when he inquired about Phelps.
"That's not appropriate to answer right now. He's a great man. ...You can call me on a later day and we can talk about that."
Um, has anyone told granny about Michael's pot smoking? We kinda don't think so.
Oh, is she gonna be mad ...

I'm surprised Carrie would date someone who she knows has smoke marijuana.
If marriage can be between a man and another man or a woman and another woman, then why not 3 men and 1 women, or 1 man and 3 women, or a 30 year woman and a 13 year old boy? Why should we have any restrictions on what marriage is at all? Marriage to me is to create a nurturing environment to raise children. Children are born from a man and women. So what does this mean for people with out kids? Why get married? Well perhaps for financial or health reasons?

So, my question to Elizabeth Snead, and the obnoxious Perez Hilton IS, would you be calling Phelps out for his pot smoking if Ms California Carrie Prejean's answer at the Miss USA pageant been pro-gay marriage?
I'm sure if you, and other psuedo journalist like Mr. Hilton had been happy with Prejean's answer, you would be celebrating her dating Mr. Phelps, and you would be highlighting his unprecedented 8 GOLD MEDALS, and not his incident of pot smoking.
Your blog, like Mr Hiltons shallow and crude response to Ms. Prejean's answer is as transparent as your views.
What I don't get is, what happened to the left being open to opinions that differ from theirs? There is NO exchange of ideas when it comes to the left. If you hold an opinion that challenges the opinion of the left, you are immediately labeled and cut down for your choice or opinion. Why does Mr Hilton have to be so nasty when talking about Ms. Prejean? Because she exercised her set of values in her answer? (and oh by the way, President Obama holds the same views when it comes to Marriage as Ms Prejean has.)
What the left has never been is tolerant or understanding with any view that differs from theirs.
If you think like them, and talk like them, you are great, you're incredible. But have an opinion that differs from theirs, and you are scum or worse.
Just remember, there are many more people in this country (including Obama) that share Ms. Prejean's view when it comes to marriage than there are on the other side. Even in a liberal state like Califrornia.
My point is that your blog would be more credible if you didn't reduce yourselves to name calling. Michael Phelps may have smoked pot, but lets face it, so have most Americans between the ages of 14- 65. And lets further face fact, many liberal journalist have gone on record supporting the legalization of Marijuana. Its ok if you want to call Phelps a pot smoker, but you know what else you have to call him, AN OLYMPIC LEGEND. His feat of 8 Gold Medals in 8 events may never be seen again. At least not in our lifetimes.
And whether you agree with Ms Prejean or not, she is still a pageant winner. If she had come out and said," I support gay marriage", then all of you would be championing her for her answer and calling her beautiful etc... instead of useing the B**** word or the C*** word like the shameless self-promoting woman hating Perez Hilton has used.
Whether you like it or not, the left has become what they detest most, close minded , intollerant, bigots. They have shown that they hate anything that champions traditional and family values and constantly work to make people feel ashamed of their personal morality and beliefs, should those beliefs not fit in with the current pop culture. And please don't ask me to pay one more cent for a ticket to a movie about how horrible it was that Dalton Trumbo got blacklisted 55 years ago because of "McCarthyism."
