Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt attorney attacks ex-bodyguard over spill-all book

Bodyguard Mickey Brett may be fighting with his former employers Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie over a memoir of his time as their bodyguard.

And he's all but been KO-ed by the couple's hot shot attorney, Marty Singer.

According to the New York Daily News, their gossip reporters recently read a proposal for a memoir and a TV show about Brett's years guarding the likes of Sandra Bullock, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.

 The main focus was Brad and Angelina.

Singer, the couple's U.S. litigator, alleges that Brett is not a reliable source. In fact, he was a "pathological liar." Singer said that only recently did Pitt and Jolie discover that Brett, who'd claimed he was a British SAS commando, never even served in the military. Can you imagine? And they only recently discovered this?

Singer says that in 1993 Brett was questioned in the murder of British tycoon Donald Urquhart. He was arrested for assaulting a restaurant owner in Namibia in 2006 when he worked for Jolie.

The same year, again in the employee of Jolie, he was accused of choking a photographer and arrested for roughing up and hurling racial insults at parents trying to pick up kids at a school in India.

Singer said Brett had been convicted 11 times of various crimes. Again, they just now found all this out?

Singer also insists that Brett is tightly bound by a confidentiality agreement.

But Brett states that he'd never signed off on the pitches and that many of the scoops in the proposal attributed to him were completely fabricated by his ghost writer.

Brett's attorneys told us: "Our client disputes what has apparently been said by Mr. Singer, but is not in a position to comment further at this stage."

Brett's ghost writer, Robin McGibbon, insists that he did not fluff up the bodyguard's fables.

Who ya gonna believe?

The bodyguard, the lawyers, the ghost writer, or the celebrities?
