Kelly Clarkson is becoming a big(ger) star....

Saturday Night Live - Kelly Clarkson: I Do Not Hook Up

After watching Kelly Clarkson perform on "Saturday Night Live" a few weeks back, we weren't searching for our shocked face when we heard news that Clarkson has been adding some pounds.

Now comes word that 90% of her upcoming music video had to be shot "from the waist up," a source exclusively revealed to Musictoob.

"I cannot express to you how fat she is," they report their source as saying. "The backs of her legs are the size of your waist.  And her nickname on set is "Large Car."

One Dish Rag contributor has duly noted, "She's skipped right over Missy Elliot and went straight for Aretha Franklin."

And yet, when talking to Access Hollywood recently about her song, "I Do Not Hook Up," Kelly denied that the song is a warning to (correction) men who try to pick up women at bars. So what is it about?

She told Billy Bush,  "Quality to quantity. That's what the point of the song is. No, I think everyone should do that," she said of meeting in bars. "I'm having fun or whatever, but I just think quality is better than quantity."

Really? Cause we're thinking maybe that theory doesn't apply to dinner?

Elizabeth, really. This is not helpful. Didn't you just post that article about Meghan McCain? You are perpetuating the belief that a skinny girl is worthier than a girl with some poundage, with your snarky "Cause we're thinking maybe that theory doesn't apple to dinner?" comment. Help a fat girl out, okay? Don't post this nonsense.

This is a story? Really? It's disgusting that you've allowed yourself to be so catty, Elizabeth. Instead of focusing on her weight, maybe focus on her voice? And maybe it's refreshing for younger girls to see a regular girl on TV.

At times when we say things about others we're really revealing things about ourselves. I hope that writing this blog made you feel better about yourself, Elizabeth.

Okay, I know people like the tormented details of celebrities' personal lives, etc., but this is just appallingly nasty. And apropos of nothing.

Normally, I'm all for catty funniness, but something about this struck me as unusually unkind. And enough so that I don't think I'm going to read this blog anymore.

Wow. This is beyond catty; it's downright beastly. Aren't you embarassed to be so shallow and malicious? You should be.

this truly was appalling...kelly clarkson is one of the better role models for girls this days...someone who is humble and talented...she is an example of an average american young woman...she may have gained weight but as long as she remains healthy who are we to judge...and who are YOU to write something so disgusting...

This post is silly and insulting. April fool's joke I hope.

You've pointed out that Kelly Clarkson put on weight, and so what? Are you concerned about her health? Do you feel that this affects her performances? What is your point? Poor form and poorer journalism.

Are you for real? Who do you think you are to condemn such a talented whose woman who has proven her talent over and over again?

I would personally rather listen to someone that looks normal and sounds amazing than a supermodel-looking wafe who sounds like my dog being snipped at the groomers. And let's not even get into the discussion of the many lip-synchers out there. For shame, Elizabeth, for shame.

Wow. I have to agree with those before me. This isn't catty, it's just plain mean.
