E! Networks' $250,000 'mea culpa' to Angelina Jolie
E! Entertainment Television reportedly donated $250,000 to the Jolie-Pitt Foundation in 2007.
And some Hollywood insiders are wondering if the gift was an attempt to repair the rift between Angelina Jolie and E!'s red carpet wingman Ryan Seacrest.

idn't work. Remember at the recent Oscars, when Ryan ran down to the red carpet, hoping to score an interview with the hot couple on E!'s pre-show?
"Hi, guys. Brad, Brad? Angelina?" he said, but they ignored his approach and walked past him. Watch the video above for the embarrassing details.
She also ignored Ryan at the Golden Globes in January.
Ryan remains humorously circumspect: "I don't remember what she was wearing, to be honest, because her back was turned [to me]. But I spoke to Brad for a moment, and he was very excited to be there."
Seacrest first clashed with Jolie at the 2006 Globes. He inanely pressed her about what she'd fed her kids that morning.
Annoyed, she replied, "Cereal -- we made cereal." Later he called her "cold," which was unfortunate, because her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, was on her deathbed at that time. Ouch.
Seacrest's take on the incidents? "I don't think Angelina thinks I'm that important," he said on his show Monday. "I don't think I'm top of mind for Brad and Angelina. I honestly don't believe they'd know who I was if I walked over there."
Yeah, right. Anyway, even though it didn't patch things up, E!'s donation certainly added a chunk to the $3.4-million bundle Jolie and Pitt gave away in 2007.
According to Fox News, the largest recipient was Pitt's Make it Right Foundation in New Orleans, getting $1,364,320.
The foundation also split $1 million evenly among three UN organizations working in Darfur.
Another $400,000 went to Cambodia's children's causes and $150,000 to a project in his name: the Maddox Chivan Children's Center.

Liz, you may be right but I tend to think if it's a mea culpa it had more to do with their film crew trespassing onto Pitt & Jolie's LA home. Remember even the cops were call about it. That was reportedly very upsetting to Pitt and E issued an apology at the time.
Also why is the info about the Jolie Pitt Foundation's most recent tax filing just now getting attention? You know this has been available on the net for months now. I saw it ages ago and I'm not even a reporter. Don't you guys bother to have your people even Google your gossip targets?
The foundation reports are helpful to anyone interested in making donations to charities.
Lizz, Please dont forget the "Pitt" in the "Jolie- Pitt Foundation! I think the payout was a settlement for E! brazenly trespassing on BRAD & ANGELINA's Hollywood Hills home in addition to Ryan's ragging on her on his radio show the next day ofter the Golden Globes. He never did offer an apology after Angie's mother died and she hasn't talked to him on any carpets since then. Her peeps alluded to it afterwards in a People magazine article. What I don't get is why Angelina has an obligation to talk to Ryan Seacrest when a lot of other stars pass him by like Penelope Cruz. It's not like he's Army Archerd asking questions about the film they were nominated for. Seacrest and the folks from E! have the worst "reporters" on the RC. They ask the most idotic questions (DiPandi's questions for Brad & Angie on the SAG RC)that have absolutely nothing to do with the films they are there to celebrate or promote.
So many celebrities are boasting about their travel to Sudan and witinessing the travesties in the country. However, when a 27 year old Sudanise woman arrived in the US to be blessed by her mother-in-law prior to the birth of her 5 babies, according to news reports, few have helped her. There are no major news reports, no assistance, no $135,000 child-care, no diaper service, no new home, nothing!! I certainly hope folks are not using the unforunate circumstances of people from Africa as means to collect donations and publicity and not use it for purposes intended. The woman is in Maryland, with two used cribs for five new infants. The babies were not developed by invitro.
I am so sick and tired of these two people. I wish they would go away and
just do their charity work and not be so needy for media and public attention.
They complain about privacy issues but what do they expect when they think they are America's royalty. totally ridiculous
and they are totally overrated.
I had heard about the incidence just after the Oscars.. watching the film, to me it really seems like,
"Much to do about Nothing"
I think Ryan is little bit much on himself, can you imagine the noise and clammer going on at the time.. Ryan was just part of the noise and clammer, seems he apparently not only ask stupid questions that would annoy Angelina, but he apparently wants to be center of attention..

E! donated all that money and Brad and Angelina still avoid Ryan-oh the horror! Actually Brangelina does a lot of good in this world-so no matter what-good investment by E!
