Miley Cyrus to media: Stop picking on me!
Miley Cyrus took to her official website to talk about that controversial candid photo of her and some friends squinting and pulling their eyes tight.

Miley writes: "I've also been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces! Well, I'm sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong and out of context. In NO way was I making fun of any ethnicity!"
The OCA, an organization that advances the social, political and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans in the U.S, got all bent out of shape saying they found the photo " offensive to the Asian Pacific American community" and said that her action "sets a terrible example for her many young fans."
Last year, Cyrus blamed controversial topless photos in Vanity Fair on youth and inexperience.
This time Cyrus is singing a different tune. She's -- surprise -- blaming the media!
Wow, she sounds just like Sarah Palin? Is this photo a "gotcha"?
"I definitely feel like the press is trying to make me out as the new 'BAD GIRL!' " Cyrus writes. "I feel like now that Britney [Spears] is back on top of her game again, they need someone to pick on! Lucky me!"
What do you think? Is Miley being picked on? Or is she setting herself up? Should everyone just relax and let the 16-year-old have fun?

This is definitely one of the lamer controversies to make a headline. She did something non-PC and everyone has to know about this? Who really cares?
Well, would it be simply "un-PC" if she and her white friends were all in black face sitting around a black guy in the photo?
That said, she is a young girl. Forgive her mistake and ask her to remove the photo. Period.
Miley could learn something from this herself, but from her response, it doesn't look like she's open to learning anything. Too bad.
You know, It's sad how she talks like she's a victim and everyone is out to get her. She did a idiotic thing. She's not a normal teenager. She's always in the lime light and she should act more mature, take responsibility for what she did. It was all fun and games, but alot of kids love HANNAH MONTANA, and if they see that photo, they're gonna think it's totally fine to make fun of asians because miley is doing it too.
I don't know what is worse: The bad tasted joke-lamer controversy or like a thousand of young american follows a talentless and pathetic girl like Miley.
She showes me how stupid and inmature she is with those declarations.
You people really do annoy me. You can't do anything without someone saying 'oh it's racist' or something just as pathetic and pointless.

Kids aren't going to interpret pictures as racist they'll think she's messing around. And they really aren't gunna go oh yeah Miley's racist so I'm going to be racist! Seriously, get a grip!
To be honest, I think she's a great singer and a great actress and yeah she might take a few crazy pictures but that's what teens do.
Get a life and write an article on something that isn't just another excuse to slag off another celebrity.

I love Miley's music and everything she does..but I really do not like her. It kinda seems like fame has got to her head. Why is it always someone else? Why can't she just blame herself? Nobody would be complaining if she didn't take that offensive picture. Look at Selena Gomez. I don't see anyone complaining about her. Thats because she's not doing stupid stuff. But of course, EVERYBODY makes mistakes. But Miley is not learning from them. She just keeps doing the same thing. There's always something going on every month.

Give Miley a break! Its not like its HER fault that these pictures are leaking on the web. Its the stupid papparazi following her all the time. I wish people would just leave Miley alone! Everyone is critisizing every little thing she's doing wrong! Everyone needs to get a grip and just stop obsessing about her. So what she was having fun, so she's not allowed to have fun? Please! She's only 16 she's allowed to make a few mistakes. Maybe if the papparazi wasn't following her all the time she could get some peace. STOP OBSESSING!!!
