'Melrose Place' revisited: Heather Locklear as resident cougar!
Wanna move back to "Melrose Place"?
The CW hopes you do. The Hollywood Reporter writes that there's a new CW pilot -- based on the original '90s series -- in the works, being produced by CBS Paramount Network.
The rebooted evening soap series -- about a randy lot of attractive twentysomethings in L.A.'s upscale Melrose hood -- might be just the thing to cure the stay-at-home recession blues. Not to mention the worrying Obama budget and ongoing deficit issues ...
The first person to be cast in "Melrose" redux is "Swingtown" actor Michael Rady.
He'll play Jonah Miller, an aspiring filmmaker (his character is said to be akin to innocent Billy -- played by Andrew Shue -- in the original series) who has moved to L.A. with his fiancee and makes a living shooting weddings and bar mitzvahs, waiting for his big break.
Remember that the original "Melrose Place" is the show that first exposed us to "Desperate Housewives" stars Marcia Cross, then a deranged femme fatale, and Doug Savant, as well as "Sex and the City" sweetie Kristin Davis, and kept exposing us to the manipulative man-eater Heather Locklear.
Not to mention that cutie pie Josie Bisset, now in "The Secret Life of the American Teenager."
Hey, whatever happened to Andrew Shue? Does anyone know?
Maybe they should bring back Heather Locklear as the cougar-in-residence landlady? She could use a job.
Anyway, will you watch a new "Melrose Place"? Do you hope it's better than the new "90210"?
Me too.

Hey, I am holding out for the show that was so bad it was funny -- very funny: Models Inc., the MP spinoff. Where is Andy Shue indeed! What ever happened to Emma Samms?
How about we get some original programming instead of going back to shows from a decade ago? Isn't 90210 enough we don't need Melrose Place back on. TV sucks
