Mark Spitz feels sorry for Michael Phelps. Do you?
Olympic gold-medal-winning swimmer Mark Spitz opened up to Us Weekly about that scandalous photo of eight-time gold-medal-champ Michael Phelps smoking a bong at a college party.
"As strictly a fan, I feel badly for Michael and the situation he has put himself in," Mark Spitz tells Us. "I think no one would wish this on anyone, especially the person that gave us a summer like no other in 2008."

And jumping into the Defend Phelps circle, Ashton Kutcher weighed in on his Twitter account with this pithy comment.
"God forbid he hit a bong. Ask your 22-year-old kid what they did last weekend.''
Hmm. Maybe we should ask Ashton what he did last weekend.
Was Phelps out of line? Dumb? Did he let down his fans?
Or was he just acting like a normal young man with all his recent indulgences into strippers, wild Vegas pool parties, booze, and now illegal drugs?

I don't feel sorry for Phelps. He knew better than to something like this he could have said "NO"?. I wonder if he'll be stripped of his medals.Trust me this isn't the first time he has smoked marijuana,He just got caught.Who knows what else he could be into.don't be suprised at what is said next or photographed with out his knowledge.

Hell no I don't feel sorry for michael phelps. He's an idiot to think he would'nt get caught in this day and age. besides, he's not the greatest olympic athlete. He's a swimmer who had more events to compete in....making it easier to collect more medals. Say goodbye to the endorsements Mike and thanks for being such a rotten role model to kids.

Is this a shock to anyone? This is a guy who didn't let go at all when he was a kid. As Seinfeld would say "He was Amish". And if you read any articles about what happens to Amish when they grow up this is exactly what happens. It's a shock that anyone is shocked by this.
he has a responsibility to his fans, sponsors and unto himself, yes its pot, so its ok if we see obama hit a joint, ok for the pope to smoke some hash, come on peeps its about doing whats right! i will relish in the media that built him up and tear him down, let him go back to being an obscure 'poor' pot smoking slacker who just swims well and has bad teeth, is he british, you'd think with all them endorsements he'd have a new mouth, face, ears, etc
