Free Britney Spears! Will President Obama fight for her freedom?
Should President Obama be more concerned about setting Britney Spears free than all those prisoners in Guantanamo?
Aren't the Pop Princess' civil rights as important as those foreign dudes?
According to TMZ, Jamie Spears is in court today in a hearing about the restraining-order case against Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib.
Poppa Jamie told the court that Britney got her hands on a pre-paid cellphone. He said he has been strictly monitoring the phones Britney has access to.
What? She isn't allowed to make phone calls? Even hardened criminals on death row get to make some unmonitored phone calls, don't they? This is madness. And it sounds illegal to me.
Can you imagine living like that? I suppose Daddy doesn't let his little piggybank, er, girl use her e-mail, her blog, Twitter, MySpace or Facebook either?
The nanny reportedly heard Britney talking to Sam and Adnan on a pre-paid phone early one morning. And Jamie believes Sam and Adnan got her on the phone to "poison" her against Jamie and sink his sweet deal, er, the conservatorship.
If Sam did have phone contact with Britney, he's guilty of violating a court order.
Jamie is desperately trying to make the temporary restraining order against Adnan and Sam permanent.
Or at least make it so they can't get to her over his dead body.

I personally feel that Jamie Spears is trying to protect his daughter who so direly needs her father to stand for her when she cannot. We all watched her fall on her face last year... she was losing it. Her father steps in and all of a sudden, Britney is getting better. We don't see unusual head shaving rituals or umbrellas attacks anymore. We don't see an enraged Britney. She actually wears a smile now. Whether it is real or fake, we'll never know but she has never looked better. And I applaud Jamie. I think what most people need to understand is that even if she isn't under the 'mircoscope' of her father, she is under the microscope of the world. Society is watching her every move and hoping she'll fail or mess up just so they can make money (isn't that what it's all about?) off of her. I think she has worked hard for what she has now and being that she didn't seem of sound mind in the last year, I feel if ANYONE was to step into the picture and take control, it would be dad. I truly feel he has the best intentions at heart.
Her life was out of control... she needed someone regulate it... and Jamie did just that. It's called good ole fashion tough love. Last January britney was stripped of her parental rights, strapped to a gurney and put on suicide watch while she was under Sam's watch. WHile under Jamies, she debt her 5th #1 album, broke records w her single, got back into shape, started preparing for a world tour and most importantly got her boys back... the facts are right there!
good protection from the family. if the facts how they are she needs to be on dads watch then let it be if not then let her be on her own and maybe just spy and see shes gets on track. Whatever the facts hav shown but she needs to be on top. i could imagine it would suck to have that surrounding me but u gotta make a effort and show that ur getting better.
Britney has proved, through her out of control life, that she was incapable of handling her business. The court ordered her dad to do it because she was a danger to herself and her kids.
It's not so much her calling them it's there being able to call her.
As for dad vs. Sam/Adnan how did Britney fare with each? Obviously her dad has helped her tremendously while Sam had her star falling and doing it on purpose.
I know this Sam person has friends but I honestly belieive he does not have her best interest in mind and it is Sam he is (and has according to Britney's accountant) the one "using" Britney and hoping to make money out of it.
Jamie is a simple man who does not live lavishly at all--long before Britney became ill . Jamie leaves that to his (divorced) wife and daughters to live in the fancy place in La. Jamie believed the old home was always good enough and refused to live or be corrupted by living in the lavish mansion Britney had built for the family.
...I think her dad is protecting both, her financial and personal interests, and he is doing a great job...how can anyone be O.K. with her having any kind of contact whit those 2 leeches???...

so i think what her dad is doing is showings he care who she is involved with. i mean from what i gather these two guy took advantage over her at one of the lowestest points of her life. that completely uncalled for so if her dad thanks this will help her by all means he has her best interests at heart which may seem a little harsh to thers but o well....
I dont think anyone has her best interests at heart. If they did they would all be helping her for free but as it is- britney's bank account shells out somewhere around 100,000 a month for their "help" i mean how is that fair? thats called extortion and that cali judge made it legal. She needed guidance but she has less rights than a prisoner and yet she is allowed to tour the world doesnt anyone see that as fishy????? she is 26 she isnt a child
