First Lady Michelle Obama finally gets it right!
First Lady Michelle Obama wore a stunning sparkly pewter gown by Peter Soronen to this week's dinner sponsored by the National Governors Assn.
It was the happy first couple's first big soiree in their new White House home.
Her strapless gown is so sleek and sexy, it makes you wish she'd picked this design for the inaugural balls instead of that big Jason Wu white wedding gown number.
Plus, dancing would have been soooo much easier in this gown.
Do you agree?
And is it just me or does this dress actually look better on Michelle than it does on the emaciated fashion model?
Now that's a rare thing.
The only thing that bothers us is that huge pearl necklace.
Overkill?

Its just you, the inguaral gown was beautiful. Your opinionm is useless.
You are right the necklace ruins the look of a beautiful gown. She doesn't get it. .She needs to take advice on how to dress like a First Lady
The dress and hair are gorgeous. Both were far more appropriate for the inaugural ball, and yes, better suited for dancing. The necklace is lovely, but overkill with the dress.Michelle may be afraid she'll get criticism if her bosom shows "too much' for some people. But she isn't real chesty, so they probably would not look sloppy.
I completely disagree about the necklace, it was PERFECT!!! I would have thought people know by now that the Mrs. O signature is exaggerated accessories, i totally saw broches all over new york fashion week runways (and i totally credit the first lady's influence)
(but otherwise yes to everything else you said)
I wish she had worn this on inauguration
Uh no, this is too hot for First Lady Inaugural faire - by far. Obviously she could have come out smokin' if she wanted to. She chose something fresh and irreproachable for her First Lady debut. She did it just right, whether everybody "gets it" or not.
she looks beautiful
necklace and all
she doesn't have to act like a stepford wife
let her dress the way she want's
she seems happy and confident
im proud to have her as first lady
The First Lady looks absolutely stunning as usual, she's not afriad to take risks.
She does wear dresses well. Quite a statuesque figure. This one is really stunning, pearls and all.
WOW!!!
Don't know who is the luckier one, Michelle for having the President, or:
The President for having his First Lady!!!
The First Lady is so elegant in this dress. Everything is perrrrfect including the necklace. I think the necklace makes it.
