Chris Brown's stepfather not 'surprised' at assault allegations
Chris Brown's former stepfather, Donnelle Hawkins, the man he claims was abusive and beat him and his mother, is speaking up about the R&B singer's alleged violent incident with girlfriend Rihanna.
Asked if he believed reports about Brown's violence, Hawkins said, "I wouldn't be surprised."
He added: "[Chris] has to take responsibility for his own actions."
In a 2007 interview with GIANT magazine, Brown described Hawkins' past beatings:
"He used to hit my mom. ... He made me terrified all the time," Brown claimed. "I remember one night he made her nose bleed. I was crying and thinking, 'I'm just gonna go crazy on him one day. ...' I hate him to this day."
"There was a lot of arguing between his mom and I. I never raised a hand at his mom," Hawkins told Access Hollywood.com in his defense. "We (Brown's mother and I) argued frequently... As far as physical abuse, there was no physical abuse." For good measure, Hawkins added, "I spanked Chris one time."
I'm not sure I believe Hawkins. Do you?
Sounds like the pot calling the kettle something. Besides, no one gets spanked only once.

i only got 'spanked' once. i did get 2 or 3 pops on the hand when i was younger.
This is to Brittany,
Give me a break kid, which you obviously are, no offense.
Men and women are just built differently. 99% of the time men will over power women physically. That's a known fact.
There's where the problem lies. WHATEVER Rihanna did, "beat the sh*t" out of him as quoted by his camp, Chris should have used as much force as was NECESSARY to stop Rihanna from hitting him, if that indeed is what happened.
By that, I mean grabbing her arms, pinning her down, whatever it takes to remove the "threat" he believed was around him.
Point blank.. He felt rage. There is no excuse for any type of Domestic Assault, and Chris wanted to show he was in control, or the lead "power" in that relationship. So he used EXCESSIVE force to prove that.
Give me a break Brittany, and all those in Chris' camp.
Hypothetically, she may have deserved it 100%. But we don't live in a hypothetical world. In the REAL world that we all live in, REAL men would never hit women.
REAL men would remove themselves from the situation, with only as much force as was necessary to do so.
Its quite obvious he "snapped" and went way too far.
And to that, Mr. Brown is a punk.
Can you all do me, and the rest of the educated world, a favor? Learn some grammer/spelling. Half of these posts show a complete lack of literacy.
So far as the story...don't believe anything you read or hear in tabloids.
