Terrence Howard arrested in 2001 assault: 'It's just life, man'
After Chris Brown's recent arrest for allegedly assaulting Rihanna, Terrence Howard remarked to a reporter, "It's just life, man. Chris is a great guy. He'll be alright. And Rihanna knows he loves her, you know? They'll be alright."
The Oscar-nominated star of "Hustle and Flow" has since apologized for the remarks.
But some people got to thinking about the Chris Brown sympathizer's comment, "It's just life."
Turns out he's right. It is life. His life.
According to the Smoking Gun, police and court records reveal that Howard was arrested for a similar but previously unreported incident in 2001.
He was arrested by Pennsylvania cops in September of that year, accused of assaulting his estranged wife, Lori McCommas.
According to a Whitemarsh Police Department report, after Howard and McCommas argued on the phone, the actor said, "Don't disrespect me by hanging up on me or I'll come over and hurt you." McCommas then "hung up and contacted 911 fearing Howard was serious."
While she was talking to the police dispatcher, Howard "showed up at the victim's residence ... broke the front door down and ran through the house breaking through the screen door in the kitchen. Howard then grabbed the victim's left arm and punched her twice with a closed fist in the left side of her face," according to the police report.
When a Whitemarsh police officer arrived, Howard told him, "I broke the door down and hit my wife."

Although charged with a variety of crimes (assault, terroristic threats, harassment and stalking), Howard pleaded guilty in 2002 to disorderly conduct.

Yes, Terrence Howard is a wife beater and that is why he supports Chris Brown. Not a good omen for the attempted murder of Rihana by Brown that Terrence got off wiht "disorderly conduct". I hope the fact the Rihana is a celebrity herself can set a real standard of justice and really punish Brown.
How sad that any of this-domestic violence-is accepted anywhere-sad-sad-sad. I hope this kind of thinking is rare.
stop hating on CHRIS BROWN...PLEASEE ..X
TKE BOTH SIDES!!!! WHAT DID RIHANNA DO TO PROVOKE HIM...!!!!ALTHOUGH HITTING SOMEONE SHUD NEVER NE AN OPTION CELEBRITY OR NOT.

I HAVE NERVER LIKED RIHANNA NOW LOOK WAHT SHES DONE TO YOU!!! ...X
T. Howard is crazy with his wife beaten self. How in the world could you punch a women in the face like that. I was not sure what to think of the Chris and Rhianna thing, but now that I saw the pics. Someone needs to beat his a@#. I just hope that she dont let the whole thing go, because she is so in love. If she does let it go, then she deserves to get her face cracked again.
For you stupid people who still supports Chris, well I cant say what I really want to say. It should not matter if he is a star or not. It should not matter if you like her or not. What he did was wrong. So I guess because he is Chris Brown, you would not mind if he beats on you every now and then. You guys are losers.
I really dont think its fair to have the music and commercials of Chris Brown banned. Although he and Rihanna are public figures, their issues should have been kept private, and they (he) should have been allowed to voice his side of the story before he was scrutinized..I dont condone him putting his hands on her, but she is no saint either..I just have both of them in my prayers and wish the best of luck to both.
In response to the comment "stop hatin on chris" (posted by "Chris Brown's London Girls"???).... What is your intelligence level? Or, how about just plain common sense? Perhaps you are just posting a comment like that to stir up a reaction...because no one with an ounce of common sense would say something like "we love you chris brown and look what she has done to you!" What a joke!! And disturbing that there would be human beings out there so warped and ignorant. Get a grip on life. Crazy...
wat ever chris browns hot and..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
if a man hits a woman, he aint nothin but a ***** ***.... it's sad how the general public ignores that just cuz they may be hot or celebrities...the truth is that BECAUSE they're in the publics eye...we look up to them...their success, their actions... they should be more careful in how they represent themselves to the public... what chris brown and t. howard did was shamefull... no integrity... i actually likes t. howard up until i read this article... shame on you man, grow the **** up and learn ta live with the little amount of self respect you got left...if even.. just cuz you're a celebrity dont make you no better... you're just as human as i , or as any other person out there... men who hit women are just ***** ***'s... and anyone that thinks that it's ok...it's just life... well then you havent seen life for what it is...ppl like you fuk it up for the rest of us.. i
I met Terrance Howard at home depot today and he was very nice, genuine and down to eart. It's true that's life. Doesn't make it right, nor does it call for response. You gotta let People live theie lives.
