Think Dakota Fanning can't be creepy in 'Twilight' sequel 'New Moon'?
If you're among the many "Twilight" fans who think that Dakota Fanning is not capable of pulling off the seductive and dangerous Volturi vampire Jane in "New Moon," maybe you never saw her in this psychological horror film, "Hide and Seek."
She dyed her hair dark brown for this unsettling role and starred with Robert De Niro -- whom, by the way, D.F. affectionately calls Bob -- and Elisabeth Shue.
And she was pretty darn scary, if you ask me.

OMFG, if they put Dakota Fanning as Jane, i will not see this movie. For one i've seen Hide and Seek and she just sucks at acting, no offence to her. but she doesn't have what it takes for Jane, and two she's 14! Jane is suppose to be her 20's. I think if they cast her, it was ruin the movie.
Of course! Dakota Fanning is perfect to portray Jane. She is one of the best actresses of our times. I can't wait to see her in New Moon!!!
I totally agree with tara! She is WAY TOO YOUNG! Jane is defs needs to be played by someone older....and dakota fanning is too 'childish' to play jane. how could someone see her as a mature, scary vampire!? Seriously.... she still looks like the kid she played in 'the cat in the hat'!!! Geezz ppl!
Get someone older....and who isn't as well known....all the other twilight cast weren't well known until the movie was made! Get some new talent out there!!
AND PERSONALLY I DON'T LIKE DAKOTA FANNING so no offence to anyone who likes her but i have to say if she was cast...i wouldn't be surprised if there will be a total TWILIGHT UPRISING because they don't want datoka to play jane!
No offence to Dakota Fanning. But she hasnt got what it takes to be a life threatening vampire.
She doesnt have the eerie dark vampire look. She looks to sweet to be a vicious dark vampire.
I know jane has to look angelic yet creepy. She isnt that scary in Hide and Seek. I cannot imagine Dakota with crimson eyes. Im not even sure if she can act like Jane. But i may be wrong. But i recommend that Dakota stays out of Twilight. Ive always thought that Jane was at least 12 or somthing. They should have open auditions. So there will be new faces in the Twilight Saga. But Dakota is wonderful actress i just dont thinks she gots what it takes to be a Volturi.

I think Dakota Fanning will be fine as Jane. And for crying out loud, Jane will only be appearing for several minuscule minutes in the movie. It's not all about Jane! Besides, Jane *is* supposed to be young and child-like, as Aro had been forced to change her and Alec at a young age. So please spare us the nerd rage =_='
I actually think she could do it. Her creepy big eyes would be perfect, and if anything I would think she's just a bit to old now. Jane is supposed to be in the 9 to 12 range and in her new movie Push she looks nearly 16-17. It's no question that they can make her look youger, just like it's no question they can make her look scary. She can easily play creepy and she's not a bad actor (I certainly like her more than other crappy actors in Twilight- not to mention names).
Seriously???? She's Cute but little girl cute... shes WAY WAY WAY too young looking.. I mean if she looked older than her age and fit the role I wouldn't care but she looks like 12 and doesn't really fit the role. In my opinion Jane needs to be more hot kinda like edward and his family, and Dakota cant really fit that role.Seriously if they use Dakota itll be kiddish and more Disney like...
