John Travolta releases statement about Jett's death
John Travolta and his family have released the following statement about the death of their son, Jett:
We would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has sent their love and condolences. Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives. We have received many messages of condolence from around the world and we want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has meant so much to us. It is a beautiful reminder of the inherent goodness in the human spirit that gives us a hope for a brighter future.

My heart breaks for you at this time. It helps to know that Jett is in a much better place than this world and will have that beautiful smile on his face for an eternity.
John, I am broken hearted over the loss of your beloved son. I can not tell you how truly sad this news is for me, knowing how it is effecting you and Kelly is heavy in my heart. May God bless you in this heart break, and give you the strength to see it through, together as the close family you all are. Hold on tight to each other like never before. Know that there is an angel looking out for you and your family now as always and She will see Jett home safely. You and your beautiful family have long been in my prayers and will continue to be so.

The death of a child is so heartbreaking no matter the circumstances. It seems even more tragic when it is unexpected. Unfortunately the Travolta and Preston family will now experience a generation of grief where once there was joy.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. There are no words, but please know my prayers and with you. I know God will give you the strenth to survive this but right now it must be very hard. Make use of your friends and loved ones. They want to help if you will let them.

I am not alone when I tell you the caring people of the world send you their condolences. We are not suppose to lose our children. Jett is an "Angel" in heaven.
My heart goes out to you and I also went thru the loss of a child. My Sandy was 16 when she died of encyphilitis in 1973. There were eleven other children in that year that died of the same thing. We all loved her so much and have always missed her, but she is in heaven waiting for us to join her. Our prayers are with you always.

So sorry to hear of the tragic passing of Jett. You are the last person this should happen to, My prayers and condolences are with you and the family and am sure a lot more Aussies join me.
