Will Robert Pattinson land lead in Kent State flick 'Ohio'?
Web rumors are rife about "Twilight" hunk Robert Pattinson being chosen as the lead in "Ohio," a movie based on the 1970 slayings of anti-Vietnam War protesters during the uprising at Kent State University.
The rest of the cast is rumored to include other hot male stars Zac Efron and Justin Timberlake.
But Twilighters Anonymous is reporting that Star magazine has revealed that Timberlake and Efron are a bit annoyed that Pattinson, a relative screen newcomer, has been offered a leading role.
Huh? What has Efron been in besides the "High School Musical" movies?
And Timberlake's career isn't exactly chockablock with major roles in blockbuster films. OK, he's great on "SNL" and all, but seriously, he's no one to throw film career stones.
However, Pattinson was in a Harry Potter film (even if his character did get killed) and stars in the upcoming "Little Ashes," playing eccentric, sexually ambiguous and controversial artist Salvador Dali.
So there.
And for those Kristen Stewart fans who are annoyed that I didn't run a trailer of "Adventureland" last week, keep reading....

I have to defend the always-hot Zefron. Zac has done other stuff than HSM. Among other things pre-HSM, he did really well in Miracle Run as an autistic teen. He also has 17 Again and Me and Orson Welles (directed by Richard Linklater) this year.
This is nothing against Robert P. or the work he's done. And I don't know who would be better for the part. But let's at least keep it real about Zac's resume.
Firstly I;d love Pattinson to play the lead in the Ohio film although I'd rather he was the lead in the Pompeii film based on the Robert Harris book which Summit are also producing. I saw Little Ashes at Raindance and Pattinson was awesome as Dali. Touching and funny and irresistable. Twilight is utter rubbish in comparison.
Now onto Kristen. I really dont see the appeal of her. Adventurland is like one of many coming of age films. Early reviews at Sundance werent inspiring. The actress stammers and twitches through all her movies. She uses ridiculously long pauses which drain the energy out of any scenes and frankly she is incredibly over rated.
Efron was very good in Hairspray, too - made me think he has a career beyond the 'tween/teen idol phase.
Zac is adorable, especially as lovable Link Larkin in the hit movie Hairspray. No he doesn't have the career of Leo or McAvoy yet, but he is young, talented and motivated which gives him a good start.
Zac Efron, Justin Timberlake and Robert Pattinson. Hot, but Rob Pattinson is the only one with any real acting talent. It wouldn't surprise me if they offered him the lead. He deserves it.
Aw, who knows about the rumors, the media just wants to put zac and rob in a big plastic pool of jello and make them catfight!
Love Rob to be in this flick. I don't have anything against JT or Zac so seeing the trio might be fun! I don't really like Zac in HSM (okay, I HATE TROY!) but he was good in his past roles. Sadly he's been tide into all this musical stuffs. Somehow I believe if he acts alongside Rob he could really capture the same variety that Rob gave in his career. If JT were to film this with Rob, they'll spend most of the offset time on music. Rob has done so much with his small list of movies and he's just starting but to be honest it was more credits than Zac's and JT's combined.
I also would like to mention, Kristen Stewart is a great actress but the movie looked cliche. Though in some point she's looking superb hot! I wonder where the 'boy' from Panic Room has gone to??? Lol!
I can't believe your even reporting this with Star magazine as your source. Their one of the tabloids that make up the most stuff. Timberlake himself has said he hasn't wanted to do a lead role yet, which he hasn't, so I doubt he would be annoyed. That alone tells me this story is made up.
I think all 3 actors would be great.
To the one who commented about her opinion that Twilight was "rubbish", yet enjoyed Little Ashes, I just need to add I felt just the opposite.
