Greta Van Susteren defends Sarah Palin from CNN!
Fox News' Greta Van Susteren is furious with CNN for putting her pal Gov. Sarah Palin on a 2008 list with Elliot Spitzer, John Edwards and other scandalized political players.
Apparently Greta is Sarah Palin's BFF and she's not about to permit CNN to accuse Palin of "falling from grace" last year. Even though CNN quietly took Palin off their meaningless, silly list and even sent a producer's private apology.
Greta feels their apology falls scandalously short. Here are her thoughts on CNN-GATE:
On her blog, she notes:
1/ why didn't CNN PUBLICLY apologize for this one? they sure unfairly trashed her publicly on that list ... should not exposure of the apology equal the round the world exposure of the unfair trashing? That is what is done in court -- you do what is necessary to make the person whole in the damage done to the person ... and then it is over.
2/ a producer? why did she get stuck doing the dirty work on this one? why didn't someone higher up the corporate food chain send the message of apology if CNN really means it? the job stature of the person making the apology can mean much. This IS the Governor of the largest state ... a former candidate for VP ... and the trashing went world wide and was really lousy ...
What do you think? Did Sarah Palin "fall from grace?" Did she belong on that CNN bad boys list for inciting anti-Obama violence at her rallies? Or is she the Conservative of the Year?

CNN should have put themselves on the list along with msnbc for trashing any qualified woman running.....Hillary by far was the most qualified person running and Sarah is more qualifed than Obama and certainly should not have been on the list. Obama should have been on the list for the lowest class of campaigning I have ever seen...including using the middle finger while saying Hillary's name and the lipstick on a pig comment just to name a couple. I voted Republican for the first time in my life because of Obama's trashy campaign.
CNN should publicly apologize, and give it as much play as their attack on Gov. Palin. CNN has a history of such things. During the campaign they had one of their hacks interview Palin. The hack quoted an article out of context which called her all kinds of names and then asked her how she felt about that. The author of the article called them on it, they dropped the story, but the damage was done, and they knew that it would be. CNN is filth.
Can't we have at least a few months off from having to hear about that homophobe, trailer-park, racist, and oh yes, UNQUALIFIED Sarah Palin?
We all know she intends to run again in 2012... Probably another attempt to wrangle a fancy new wardrobe from the RNC.
PS: If I were a woman, I would be even more offended by everything Sarah Palin stands for.
Honestly, I do not understand how people are bothering to defend this woman who was so obviously out of her league. She may be doing just fine as a governor of a state with huge oil revenues, but she was just not ready for the national stage. If she had shown the ability to answer a single question in a straightforward manner with proper grammar, and had addressed the vitriol being spewed at her rallies, perhaps I would not feel this way. Yes, a woman was on a ticket. So was Geraldine Ferraro - did anyone defend her treatment by the media at the time?? And let's be serious -- Palin was not going to sway anyone who was remotely in favor of Hillary and her policies, however those who voted with their reproductive organs were swayed (male and female!). Personally, I am really looking forward to the Obama presidency!
It does appear to be another blatant case of Palin-bashing by left-leaning media. Same as all the other falsehoods during the campaign - Palin thought Africa was a country, Palin spent $150k on clothes, Palin incited violence etc etc, all shown to be without foundation.
Sarah has the brains, the experience and the values to lead America, and the liberals have no answer to her except spin.
Palins and Johnstons belong on a Jerry Springer episode and not anywhere near the white house. Can you imagine Oxycotin parties on the white house lawn.
Kudos to Greta for being one of the few journalists who actually reports fairly. The libs don't know what to do with Palin so they slam her, because she's not into dirty politics like our new Pres elect, she's for the people and I hope will be our new President elect come 2012. Greta is a Democrat so her agenda is clear, to uphold journalistic integrity.
It's come to the point where I can't watch any of the major networks because they are so biased! The election is over folks...get over it. Attempting to smear an individual is just turning people off.
Right on, Greta! She has the guts to stand up to all people and she was absolutely right in sticking up for the Governor. I love how people keep her in the news. If she wasn't a threat, the left wing of our country, excuse me...the main stream media..wouldn't be constantly finding ways to trash her. But she IS a threat, so of COURSE they continue. Alas, keeping Sarah in the news is a double edged sword, because we have four long years to get to know her a little better, and SHE has four years to prove what we know already: She is a self-made woman who will not compromise her belief system, integrity or faith on her way to the top. Thank you for the opportunity to express my views.
I think CNN did it just for the nasty fall out it would cause.... the publicity over putting her on the "Fall from Grace" list...(A JOKE)
The list was probably only made to put PALIN on it,,,,
then they realized... OH we will have to put Edwards on here too.... grudgingly.
THEN come to find out SARAH didn't do a nose dive... "From Grace" OOPS!
I bet they were thinking,,,Why did we make this list? What were we thinking?
