Sarah Palin threatens to shut down NBC in 2009!
Why did it feel like Gov. Sarah Palin was not joking in her skit on last night's "Saturday Night Live Presidential Bash 2008" two-hour special about shutting down "SNL" and getting NBC's broadcast license revoked?
Yikes.
This woman is scary!
When she sneeringly added, "In Alaska, we play for keeps. It's called the Palin doctrine," I swear I felt a chill go up my spine.
Can you say potential power-crazed evil dictator? She makes VP Dick Cheney look downright benevolent.
Happy voting!

not funny--wooden delivery and not a touch of irony--and not funny at all
I thought I was the only one - I found the sketch chilling and creepy. Not funny.
I'm glad that I am not the only one that felt that way. I was watching the show with my boyfriend and after it was over we looked at each other. Both of us weren't sure if she was joking or being serious... it was creepy.
Palin definitely scares me...
Something is seriously wrong with this woman. She absolutely must have things her way. If she ever gets a hold of the e-mail addresses of every person who has said anything against her, we're all doomed. I'm getting the paper work ready as we speak for a restraining order against her and her Gestapo type husband Todd just in case that happens. I say this jokeingly.........maybe..............hym.........maybe not.
It's a lame bit, but the blame rests with the writer or writers, 'cause there were practically no jokes. "Wooden delivery," somebody commented? Come on, she's not a comedian.
It's also ridiculous to call her scary, and I saw no "sneering." Besides, the last time a major network was threatened with having its licensed revoked, the threat came from LIBERALS who wanted to shut down ABC in 2006 even before it aired the miniseries The Path to 9/11, which Clinton feared would mar his legacy.
What i have learned from Sarah Palin and her rallies...
More money for un-manipulated Education pls!
You folks need to grow up a little.
Make that a lot actually ;-)
I remember watching that last night, and thinking to myself, "is she serious". I did not think it was funny. As a matter of fact, it terrified the heck out of me.....you betcha !!
She was reading a script. Come on people. What's wrong with you?
I agree that that was just scary. Esp. considering the whole Troopergate scandal and all the accusations of her abusing power. Yes, I know she was cleared...I just don't believe it
