How would you spend Sarah Palin's $150 grand?

Sarahpalin Attention, Palin shoppers!

What would you buy with Sarah Palin's $150,000 campaign trail wardrobe expenditure?

An amusing new website, dresslikepalin.com, lets you dress the folksy Republican VP candidate and find out exactly what all that money could have bought.

It opens with a tinkling piano and various friendly voice-overs, such as, "Attention, Palin shoppers. Kazuo Kawasaki glasses are now on sale in our optical department for only $450! Why pay any less?"

Or "Attention, Palin shoppers. Visit our makeup counter and hire your own personal stylist for the special low price of just $11,000 per week. Sale ends soon!"

To play the game, simply drag a dress, a pair of boots or eyeglasses, a beige jacket or a designer purse onto Palin's paper doll image. The price tag pops up along with the startling info on what you could have bought for that much money.

For instance, drag a beige Valentino jacket and find out that this $2,500 jacket is a typical teacher's monthly salary and the entire winter heating costs for two Midwestern families.

A pair of $450 Cole Haan boots costs three times as much as a family of four pays for a week's groceries in Homer, Ark.

And that Louis Vuitton 865 bag? It could have bought 30 police officer uniforms.

Most amazing: that $22,800 spent on two weeks of campaign trail makeup? Gosh, that money would have paid for 224 mammograms, 651 flu shots or 13.9 years of Lipitor for one person.

Cindy McCain doesn't get off easy either.

Adding up her $300,000 Republican National Convention ensemble: an Oscar de la Renta dress, white ceramic watch, 3-carat diamond earrings, four-strand pearl necklace and $600 shoes and you exceed the median price of a house in Miami, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Milwaukee and a few other places.

Wow. We shudder to think what Palin's official VP clothing costs would be.

Most know Cindy can afford to buy her own clothes. But we might need another bailout to keep Sarah looking fashionable for four years.

Play the game and let us know what you think!

And....Obama's 600Mil..

unpresedented in history....

nothing outlandish about that now is there?

At $400 a ticket, I could buy 375 one way plane tickets to Anchorage for Nov. 5th. My first 2 passengers would be James Dobson and Pat

Robertson. Sarah Palin said at a church service that Alaska would be a "refuge" during the end times. It's never too early for them to get a jump on all their planning for the Apocolypse. I know 375 is just a start, but I'm sure we can find others who are more than willing to help with this Fundies to the Tundra Effort. Once they all get settled in, First Dude and his buddies can lead the campaign for succession. Win-win for everyone. You Betcha!

i would buy a lot of things with the 150 grad that i was givin

Palin is so bent on getting to the White House that she has lost all sense of sensibility. So has that other dim wit Cindy. Campaigning cost a great deal of money no getting around that, but to flaunt that kind of excess is just plain ignorant. On how to spend $150K, I don't know. We're still trying to figure out how to get back $370K we lost in our porfolio that is supposed to be in our retirement fund that we earned through many years of hard work.

Governor Palin doesn't own a $150K Wardrobe, the RNC does. But, I'm sure $150K buys a whole lot more at the consignment store, where Gov. Palin would have spent it, than it does in the high end stores that the RNC staffer shopped at. Seriously, give it a break already. Never have I seen such a big deal made out of somebody borrowing clothes for the most important job interview of their life. Get over it!

I second S. Stallmo!

If i was Palin and had 150 grand I go back to school and learn some things, instead of trying to look good and impress.
