Who is Ari Graynor? And why should you care?

Ari Graynor, who plays Caroline, the adorably drunk girlfriend in "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist," is being touted by press as the new Indie Crush.

According to New York magazine, she grew up in Boston but lives in the East Village and hangs with her actor beau Eddie Kaye Thomas (Finch from "American Pie").

She's also shooting a film with breakout "Juno" indie stars Michael Cera ("Youth in Revolt"), who also stars in "Playlist," and Oscar nominee Ellen Page ("Whip It").

Maybe she's no Olivia Thirlby but she makes a great new Sandra Bullock. Or the next -- and hopefully less gullible -- Anne Hathaway?
