Ron Howard goes Opie for Obama
Acclaimed filmmaker Ron Howard, who will always be fondly remembered as Opie from that baby boomer favorite "The Andy Griffith Show," goes back in time for Barack Obama.
In this Funnyordie video, he shaves and dons a hairpiece to look like 8-year-old Opie and talk about the upcoming election with his folksy on-screen dad, Andy Griffith. Later, he talks about moose-shooting Sarah Palin with the Fonz, played by Henry Winkler, from the sitcom "Happy Days."
No matter which way you're voting, this one is worth watching to the end.
"OK, I just acted like an 8-year-old kid from a 40-year-old television show," Howard says, at one point. Please don't let this be in vain."
Finally, he concludes, "Andy, Henry and I love our country.... Register and vote with your heart, your mind, and with courage and vision. That's all I ask."
Does Opie's opinion matter to you? Or is he part of that gosh darn liberal Hollywood conspiracy?

I will vote for mccain because of the experiance level and not because he is white. I think hollywood should stay out of politics because they spend all there lives acting like someone else. I live in the south and all the blacks are voting for obama and for only one reason. Every one I ask cant tell me anything about his plan. I will be glad when it is over because no matter who is president my life has not changed. Many people have seemed to forget the president cant do anything with congress. republican or democrat there have been many wrong doings from the white house.
Fake Characters endorsing a FAKE character... VERY appropriate!!!

You're right "american", we are.
It's because he's THE BETTER CHOICE, you fool.
You, on the other hand ARE voting for McCain because he's white. You just need to justify your racism in your own little mind.
When our president has to sit with other leaders, I want him to have the intellect to understand complex situations, Cranky McGrandpa is stuck in his 50 year old world view.
When our president speaks in front of the world, I want him to be articulate, eloquent, and have substance and strength behind his words.
Unlike Father McTime who has more and more Senior Moments and is starting to need his scripts more and more.
I want a president that UNDERSTANDS the Modern World.
I want a president who isn't a crap-shooting pseudo-maverick who sold his soul to the devil and only wants to be president because it's his frackin' AMBITION. (His word. In his autobiography. Google it.)
Black people, White people, old and young, Democrat AND Republicans, conservatives and liberals, know when someone is the better person for the job.
All YOU see is color. Admit it. Own it. Then let it go.
Your robe and hood are waiting....in hell.
