Live from New York! It's John McCain and... Ben Affleck?
According to Politico.com, Barack Obama supporter Ben Affleck will do a satirical skit version of his "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.
And Republican presidential candidate John McCain will take time out from his last minute swing state campaigning to make an 'SNL' appearance.
It had been rumored that Barack Obama might show up on SNL. He still could, but my guess is that we'll just have to settle for the funny gray dude.
The Arizona senator has described himself as "pretty good at stand up comedy" and may hope to show his less desperate - and more humorous - side in a last-minute appeal to the show's newly reignited audience before voters head to the polls on Nov. 4.
Does taking time off from from the stump mean that McCain feels confident about the Tuesday election?
Or is McCain hoping to jump start a new career as a stand-up comedian if his second presidential bid fails?
What do you think?

McCain's campaign is a train wreck like the scene in Lawrence of Arabia where the train crashes and crashes and...you get the idea. McCain on SNL is out of sheer desperation and will work out about as well as his appearance on Letterman, which is to say not at all.
Its a last desperate appeal to voters since nothing else is working. Its been a downhill slide ever since the V/P choice announcement ?
