'Family Guy' links John McCain, Sarah Palin to Nazis?

Uh-oh. Did "Family Guy" go too far?

In Sunday night's episode, two characters, Stewie (a talking baby) and Brian (a talking dog), end up being transported to Poland during the Nazi invasion of World War II.

In one scene, they beat up and steal two Nazi officers' uniforms. When Stewie looks down at his Nazi jacket, he notices a McCain-Palin campaign button attached to the lapel. He says, "Huh, that's weird."

But maybe it's not so weird considering that the show's creator, Seth MacFarlane, is a big Barack Obama fan, major Democratic Party contributor and spoke at an Obama rally in Ohio in early October.

Guess he's just wearing his politics on his sleeve. Or rather, his lapel.

What do you think? Cheap shot? Or spot on?

SPOT ON

It was a jokie pooh-MA`Dona remember?

What a stupid question. "Cheap shot? Or spot on?"

How could you even ask if it's "spot on" or not? You're basically asking the question, "are John McCain and Sarah Palin Nazis?"

Guns? Check.

War? Check.

Antisemitism? Well, not overtly, but they are white Protestant Fundamentalists.

Homophobia? Check.

Book burning? Check, wait -- does book banning count?

Itchin' for a fight with Russia? Check.

Eradication of anyone who disagrees with them? Check.

Right-wing tendencies that bear an uncanny resemblance to Fascism? Check!

If people really get "up in arms" about this, it's ridiculous. For one thing, it's a satirical cartoon. For another, comparing Obama to terrorists seems to be perfectly fine (although he's never displayed any terrorist-leanings), but all of a sudden comparing McCain/Palin to Nazis is "too far"? (Especially with the heavily racist leanings of their rallies)

Eh, if Obama is a socialist, McCain and Palin sure are nazis. Gotta love political name-calling!

I found it funny, but yeah it was a cheap shot

So McFarlane uses a baby to speak for him. That's called ignorant coward. Every survivor of the Nazi Holocaust is a testament to that which the likes of McFarlane and Obama want to extinguish. Sadly, McFarlane and "the one" suffer from a terminal condition called cerebral rectal inversion. No doubt a result of an incomplete abortion.
