Elisabeth Hasselbeck gets 'sassy' for Sarah Palin

"The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck was incredibly "honored" to introduce Gov. Sarah Palin on Sunday at a Republican rally in Florida.

But she was even more excited about  being able to "talk for a full five minutes without being interrupted."

She talked about Palin's women's rights views: equal pay for equal work, putting an end to honor killings, aiding women exploited in the sex trade and stopping the sanctioning of the abortion of unborn daughters in other countries.

She decried the fact that "they" are "fixated on her wardrobe," calling it a double standard and deliberately sexist. But then she turned to Palin and remarked admiringly that the governor "sure is a woman who knows how to dress," which got some rather sexist whoops, hollers and whistles from the audience.

Hasselbeck added:  "I'm most impressed by her accessories, you know, like the flag pin she wears in honor of her son and our military -- men and women -- fighting abroad.  And they fight for our every right to be here today."

Elisabeth was certainly coming on strong for Palin, sounding much like a lipstick-wearing pit bull/hockey mom herself.

"I have a hard time not being sassy," The View star admitted to the audience.

What do you think of Elisabeth's impassioned speech? Will you watch "The View" today to see what Joy Behar thinks? Or to hear more about Elisabeth's all-fired-up Florida visit?

Hey, is anyone else bothered by the presence of Palin's youngest daughter sitting onstage, struggling to hold the governor's six-month old son, Trig

Call me crazy, but I don't think a screamingly loud political rally is the best place for any infant.

What do you think?

Elizabeth Hasselback is out of her mind.

She's a Republican mole-but she's stupid and small minded. It's a wonder that Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg-and Sherri Shepard for that matter-haven't choked her yet.

One word for you all...

McPHALIN

...John McCain could have probably won this race if he had picked someone as a running mate with something other than air between her ears. Yes she is attractive, yes she can dress. That does not a VP candidate make!

She's very beautiful!!!! But, dumb as a door knob. She doesn't understand the issues this country is facing. Republicans can do no wrong. So, why is the country going in the wrong direction. Please advise Elisabeth that a true American speaks up when her party or country is doing everything wrong.

Elizabeth comes off very angry. She seems to want to force her opinion on everyone. I don't think she is helping the Republican party.

I was so disappointed with Elizabeth on the campaign trail, for Sarah Palin, this weekend.

I'm a conservative and hate how she is treated on the view, but, this weekend she was awful and showed just like Sarah Palin, she is not ready for the big stage.

After 2 minutes into her speech, I switch the channel because she was irritating and childlike. Her facial expressions were demonic and over reactive.

What a shame, she did not help the campaign at all this weekend. It pains me to have to say that.

Elizabeth, please keep your day job. Going on the campaign trail you are hurting the McCain-Palin campaign.

I love your message. Please ask the public to Google Black Liberation Theology so they can meet the real Obama.

have to stop watching it makes me puke

Elizabeth...leave The View!!!...now that you finally get to speak without the rude and babbling idiots talking over you, we get to see that there is a brain under that blonde hair. I won't watch you on The View because of the ONE-SIDED nature of that show, but if you get out of there, I will watch you anywhere else.

Extremist right wing republican woman who sit n the right side of right like "that one" from "The View" and Sarah Palin sound like the rest of the right wing right. They are whining.

What amazes me about Sarah Palin and others in the right wing, if it had not been for the left wing union wages her husband Todd Palin made she would not have had the leisure time to complete college and get involved in politics.. She is an example of what many people in this country call "I have mine and screw you". I want to know why the right wing in the United States does not want to give other Americans the right to a middle class life existence. I find it very sad there are Americans who benefited from social programs often are so against others having that same opportunity. I do not call it socialism

I call it compassion and a helping hand.

i'm so happy that this election is so polarizing, because everyone who actually supports the republicans at this point are basically tarring and feathering themselves. this is a great moment in history. everyone who supports teaching backwards religion instead of science, everyone who thinks fighting preventive war is 'an american right', everyone who thinks making abortion illegal will stop abortions from happening (doesn't anyone remember how we lost the war on drugs? ask reagan), everyone who thinks that helping extremely wealthy people maintain their extreme wealth is somehow defense against 'communism' (as if anyone born in america has a clue what communism is), everyone who is so treasonous and cowardly that they would give up their rights for 'security', all these people are making themselves known. great, now we know who to excommunicate.
