Britney Spears speaks out: "What ... was I thinking?"
MTV's 90-minute documentary on Britney Spears -- " Britney Spears: For the Record" -- will air Nov. 30. just two days before the release of her new album, "Circus." And yes, she does talk about her meltdown period in the doc. "I sit there and I look back," she says in the interview, "I'm a smart person, what ... was I thinking?"
The show combines documentary footage, personal stories and behind-the-scenes video of her in rehearsals in the studio, ev
en back in her hometown in Lousiana. To watch a clip, click HERE.
"So much has gone on over the last couple of years and there's a lot that people don't know about me that I want them to know," Spears told MTV News. "I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn't being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I've been through and where I'm headed."
But if you just can't wait until Nov. 30 for a Britney fix, her new music video for "Womanizer" debuts on ABC's 20/20 tonight. And the ads for her brand new fragrance -- Hidden Fantasy -- are already making the rounds on the Web.
According to a fragrance site, the bottle is similar to those of her earlier scents except it's red. Which totally makes sense since the scent is cherry vanilla.
In case you don't remember, Britney's previous fragrances were Curious, Fantasy, Curious: In Control, Midnight Fantasy, Curious Heart, and Believe.
The new scent should be wafting into stores in December. Boy, time sure does fly. We can recall a time, not too many months ago, when NO one in their right mind would have wanted to smell like Britney Spears.
What do you think? Are you amazed at how quickly Britney's mental problems went away? Anyone want to know what really went on? Was it all just prescription mood-altering drugs? Any theories?

I don't think her mental problems have "gone" away, neither she nor her family have made any such statement, so i think its rather presumptuous for us to say that. But shes definitely improving. Of course we want to know what really happened, but lets face it, we may never.
who ever wrote this is an idiot

Let's just face it. Britney is only human. I love her more than anything and I am so glad to see her going on the right track again. Things happen and people shouldnt be judged. Let's just say Britney Spears is Back and ready to show the world. It's Britney B*tch
There is a war still dragging on, our economy is failing, and many of us aren't even sure how much longer we'll even have a home. I could not a crap less about Britney Spears or whatever problems she brings upon herself. She'll get no sympathy from me.
You have to feel sorry for Britney. Fame can have an awful effect-especially on someone so young. I hope only the best for her.
SHE IS DOING SO MUCH BETTER!! SHE IS THE BEST... THIS SHOWS THAT SHE IS READY TO ROCK OUR WORLD!!! AND LIL BY LIL SHE IS DOING THAT!! I LOVE YOU BRITNEY!! CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU IN THE STAGES!!
we are human and we all make mistakes we wish we can go back and change, we can't change them we can just learn from them, i dont judge britney i am not in her shoes and dont know the things that was going on with her, i have always liked her i thought she was a sweet girl from a small town who has so much talent and is one hell of a performer i wish her the best and i wish her well with her come back i for one am rooting for her all the way...we just want the real britney back!
When will people learn, and this goes for everyone, not just celbreties, that people are going to form their opinions about you based on what they see you do, NOT by what you tell them you want them to think of you, no matter how plausible your excuses may be. The very attempt to tell someone what to think of you is always met with skepticism, and the audience STILL decides in spite of what you say. Yet another TV show (in this case a documentary) to try to affect peoples' opinions of her is liable to be as disastrous as anything else she has tried. Her image was already on the repair, if she would just shut up and sing and maybe act a little more on TV and be a good mom and leave the "tinkering with the image" thing alone, peoples' opinions of her would heal themselves. Such automatic image re-pair was already underway. Please, kiddo, leave well enough alone!
It seems like she was on some kind of amphetamines during those crazy days. Perfectly normal people can end up acting like freaks when they become addicts to the stuff. Once the addiction is overcome they return to normal. The amphetamine problem in California is truly tragic and anyone who beats the addiction should be consoled with and applauded.
I'm so glad she's making a mend.... i really cannot wait for the new album and the documentary!!! An for person who's talking about not caring about Britney, why waste your time writing to inform us??
