Shia LaBeouf says 'Eagle Eye' was 'flying by the seat of your pants'
"Eagle Eye" costars Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan talk about the impromptu fight scenes, scrapes, cuts , bruises, car chases, big drops and daily sprints during the making of their new action film.
"It was literally flying by the seat of your pants every day," Shia says. "We were in great shape at the end of the movie," admits Monaghan.
Billy Bob Thornton was attracted to the film because it was smart and because of the director, DJ Caruso.
"Every once in a while you gotta do a big action movie to pay for the house," Thornton deadpans. "A lot of them are (expletive deleted). This was good and smartly written."
He also notes that Shia's "vibe" reminded him of another young actor he worked with on "Monster's Ball: the late Heath Ledger. Both, he says, were distinctly uninvolved with Hollywood.
Always the outsider, Thornton has no use for Hollywood. And we love him for that.
