Mad Men's January Jones wins Dish Rag's best-dressed award
AMC's "Mad Men" made Emmy history last night by becoming the first basic cable show to win a best drama award.
And January Jones, who plays ad exec Jon Hamm's perfect, polite and sheltered wife, was the surprise hit of the Emmy red carpet and hit the top of our Emmy best-dressed list.
Wearing a Dolce & Gabbana far-from virginal white corset-style goddess gown, her gently up-swept hair tied with metallic string hair bands, Jones looked like she'd floated down from Mount Olympus for the night, leaving Zeus home with the kids.
The look was just racy enough to separate Jones from her buttoned-up on-screen character, interesting enough to cause a stir and classy enough to set her apart from some of the other more -- how can we put this -- "Desperate" dressers at the Emmys.
Finally, a breath of fresh fashion air on the carpets!

The worst dressed is clearly January Jones. That dress is hideous and anyone that puts her on a 'best dressed' list is in serious need of either glasses or a sense of taste.
I absolutely agree with the previous comment. This dress is awful; it looks like she forgot to cover her corset and crinolins with an actual dress. Certainly does not do justice to just how beautiful January Jones actually is.

I love January Jones, and Madmen-- and corsets for that matter-- but that dress is terrible.
Love her dress on her. I think very few could wear it well, but she looks gorgeous in it. I like that she wears ''costumey outfits''. Low cut gowns have been done to death.

January looks gorgeous in that beautiful dress. She stands out, doesn't look desperate, has class, but takes a risk at the same time. She looks simultaneously sexy and virginal, which is difficult to do. I want to look like that!!!!!!!!

Come on people! The woman is in her underwear? Could Jon Hamm show up in his longjohns and be called well dressed? I like January Jones and I'm crazy about Mad Men. I even like Dolce & Gabbana (Domenico Dolce is a fellow Sicilian)--most of the time. But this "dress" makes her look as if she's in the process of getting dressed for her wedding and the gown has gone missing. Sorry January...you're still gorgeous!
