Lynne Spears tell-all book about Jamie Lynn, Britney, is more about her
Britney Spears mother Lynne Spears' new book about her daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears' problems is about to rear its ugly head.
The book, "Through the Storm: A Real Tale of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World," comes out Sept. 16, from a leading Christian publishing house.
Lucky for us that the Associated Press got an advance copy of the 211-page book so we can peruse the stunning revelations early.
There reportedly are family photographs of Britney from when she was only 3, singing and dancing, and more from throughout her career until her terrible fall from grace last year.
But readers may learn less about Britney and more about Lynne. Like that Lynne Spears gave up her schoolteacher job to help Britney's career, and that she felt powerless when a 1999 magazine put a sexy shot of Brit in panties and a bra on its cover.
They will read about her "shock and dismay" at seeing her daughter's shaved head, feeling "punched in the stomach" when she found out Jamie Lynn was pregnant at 16.
And she was totally distraught at Britney's then-manager Sam Lutfi's admission of grinding pills and putting them in her daughter's food, hoping to induce a coma that would enable doctors to cure her of all addictions.
What the ... ?
I admit that the book's timing is excellent. Though not as charming and funny as she had been with Russell Brand in the MTV Video Music Awards promos, Britney seemed to be clear-headed on the Sunday-night show.
Hard to believe that it was only a year ago that she made that disastrous and embarrassing "comeback" on the show. Amazing what happens when your manager stops putting pills in your food ....
This year, Britney actually won three VMAs, including video of the year. How is that even possible?
Anyway, congrats, Britney. Now please tell your mom to stop writing books about her daughters' personal lives. Lord knows how much she got for this book, if she pocketed $1 million for telling the story of Jamie Lynn's pregnancy to OK! magazine.

The Spears family will be fine.
Lynne Spears uses her daughters like
walking piggy banks. Unfortunately, the same can be said for many parents of child stars. I wish the Spears parents and the Lohan parents and all the other frustrated parents that are living their lives through their children would just stop.
honestly i feel so bad for britney. she has absolutely NO privacy. everyone wants to know every dirty detail. and when people say well thats what comes with stardom... thats not true. beyonce is very private and not many people know about her personal life, and not once has SHE had a breakdown. Britney hardly ever discloses the info about herself that ends up in the tabloids. I would go crazy too if i couldnt even trust my MOM to keep my secrets. complete insanity.
Britney looks to be very pleased about her new, healthier lifestyle and says that she has never felt healthier in her life. She also considers that her 1,200 calories intake per day is enough "if you eat the right things." I read about this at http://www.projectweightloss.com/index.php.
