Why Lindsay Lohan won't and Samantha Ronson can't vote for Sarah Palin
Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson are worried about Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin, her environmental beliefs, her homophobic views and her stand against birth control and/or having sex before marriage.
On Sam's MySpace (in joint statement signed by Lindsay) she writes: "I couldn't be more supportive of a woman in office, but let's face it, it comes down to the person, and their beliefs, male or female. ... Is it a sin to be gay? Should it be a sin to be straight? Or to use birth control?
On the energy crisis and alternative fuel needs: "Well hey, if she wants to drill for oil, she should DO IT IN HER OWN backyard. This really shows me her complete lack of real preparation to become the second most powerful person in this country."
And Sam is really concerned that "the Republicans best hope is a narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe? ... I know that the most important thing about this election is that people need to exercise their right to vote, regardless of their choice... I would have liked to have remained impartial, however I am afraid that the "lipstick on a pig" comments will overshadow the issues and the fact that I believe Barack Obama is the best choice, in this election, for president... Palin's desire to "save and convert the gays"-really?? ...
According to this Associated Press story, the church of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is hosting a kind of conference devoted to the 'conversion of Gays' -- no kidding."
Sam gives excerpts of the AP article about the church, and she and Lindsay sign the post thusly:
Lindsay- "I have faith that this country will be all that it can be with the proper guidance. I really hope that all of you make your decisions based on the facts and what feels right to you in your heart-vote for obama!"
Samantha- "I love this country- however i wasn't born here and don't have the right to vote- so i beg of you all to really do your research and be educated when you cast your vote this coming november.... and if you're in doubt- vote for obama! Mainly because if she gets elected my green card probably won't get renewed!!!"

This may surprise you, I do not support same sex marriages nor do I support abortions, however, I support a person's right to choose as long as it is not supported or funded by my government AND I SUPPORT BARACK OBAMA!!! We cannot afford the danger and continued stupidity of the current administration that a McCain/Palin ticket will continue on with. Their divisive politics and sleezy, lying ads is only one indication of the sleeziness of the GOPs. Obama is supported by 27 countries in the world, including our allies, Europe, Canada, Germany, France, and more (not just middle eastern countries as the McCain folks would like you to believe) In any case, ALL OBAMA HAS TO DO IS ASK THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, "If you feel that you have been better off over the last 8 years, vote for McCain/Palin, if not the choice should be simple, vote for real Change, vote for Barack Obama/Joe Biden"
For this to even be a story is a frightening look into our society. (and yes, it doesn't say much about me for reading it). Do we really care what Lindsay's lover has to say about politics? Does she have a clue what is best for the country? When ever I hear celebrities (or their gay lovers) spout off their uninformed opinions makes me more sure that McCain/Palin is the clear choice over Obama/Binladen.
Who cares what she thinks? I dont. Its not news. Palin is more qulaified than Obama to run this country.
Lastly, how is it environmentally responsible for you to travel with your pal to DJ across the country? If there was oil in my front yard I would gladly ask the Govt to come drill.
Ok lets start with education. I am not even going to go into who I think would be the best for our country. But I am so tired of people comparing the Bush administration to the McCain camp. Because anyone that has done any research or knows anything about the two parties, knows they are nothing alike. The only thing the two camps have in common is their support for the war. THAT IS IT! McCains economy policy is extremely different from what Bush has done. McCain and Palin are really nothing alike each other, or Bush. Palin didn't even vote for Bush! That is what makes them such a good party. They are two totally different people, from different parts of the world of politics coming together for a better America. Obama is a great speaker, and is very educated. But lets be real here... would you let someone run your multi billion dollar business, even if they had no experience? NO WAY!!! Why would you vote for someone who's political experience is laughable, to run our country! That makes no sense. Can we please stop forgetting that the number one job the President has is to lead our military. If Obama gets elected, he will not be running this country. It will be all the democrats behind him telling him what to do, because he won't know what to do. Just think four years ago these same democrats, and celebrities were trying to convince us that John Kerry was what America needed. Now it is Obama! Stop using Bush as your excuse for the rest of America to vote for the next best clown the democratic party finds. I say everyone do your OWN research, and then make a decision. The fact is 75% of all media is democratic controlled, so do your own research, and may the best man win.
The Democratic plan was simple... Find a African American male who can speak well, has a college degree, and back him up with a vet in the political world as a VP candidate. = instant presidential nominee.
