Clay Aiken acknowledges he's GAY! (yawn)
Clay Aiken is on the cover of this week's People holding his adorable new baby son.
But that's not the big news.
The "American Idol" star also comes out on the cover, emblazoned with the words YES, I'M GAY.
When I first saw this cover on PerezHIlton.com, I thought this was just another one of Perez's snarky Photoshop tricks. But apparently, it's really true.

A rep for People neither confirmed nor denied the cover's accuracy, MTV News reports. "We can confirm that Clay Aiken and his son are featured on the next issue of People," the rep said. The whole enchilada story will go up today on the mag's Web site.
If it's true, then congrats on both counts, Clay. But forgive us if we're not like, totally, shocked and stunned.

Well, I'm glad his child helped him come out.
Who cares about Clay? I used to like him-but not his exaggerated sense of self-
importance is staggering-like we all care who he sleeps with? I'm so over him-please no more Clay!
I'd like to find one person on the face of the earth (except maybe his mother) who didn't assume that Clay Aiken was gay, from the first time he appeared on American Idol!
i agree. yawn! we've been waiting since the day he left the AI stage for him to admit this. but at the same time, I'm glad he finally 'revealed' the truth.

just in case my post didn't show. i just wanted to say, once again, Elizabeth, I agree! Yawn, we all knew it, just waiting on him to finally admit it to the world.

I question the American publics belief that they should be "in the know" regarding public figures private lives. Clay's reasons for keeping or not keeping his sexuality private, are no ones business but his.
I do commend his reasons for wanting to be honest, though. Still his sexuality, has nothing to do with his talent and it is time the American public realized this.
Everyone I know knew he was gay, and we all were waiting for him to admit it. I still love him and his music, and I hope he has found peace. The baby is cute!
Well now that Clay is out of the closet, maybe the gay bloggers will stop ridiculing him. Seriously, the gay media types are the ones who bashed him because they thought he was gay. Clay's fans never cared one way or the other.
