Is Robin Williams still funny? You decide!
Is Robin Williams still funny? We'll find out soon enough.
Robin Williams will do his first stand-up tour in six years this fall. Why? Because it's an election year and politics is funny, that's why.
Williams has 13 dates set (among the cities: Chicago, Nashville, Baltimore) in the run-up to November's presidential election.
But it won't all be politics. Williams' private life, recent booze battles and his split from wife Marsha will also be fodder for the tour called "Weapons of Self-Destruction."
According to the Daily Stab, Williams said, "It's an election year, which is basically Christmas for stand-up comics and I figured I should get my ass on the road while the Shrub is still in office. A lot has happened in the world and in my life since I last did this six years ago and there's no better thrill and no better therapy than getting on that high-wire in front of a live audience. Between the politics and things that have happened to me personally, it's free range... It's an interesting time."
"Self-Destruction" launches Sept. 25 and goes on until the end of the year. Here's his website for more information.
Nanu, nanu!

His dangerous, limber mind, will always provide deep laughter. It's his recent choices in movies that are in question.
Still, if I were a betting man - I'd bet on the fool. Life without a fool, is life not worth living.
Go Robin!
Robin Williams is the most amazing, brilliant and downright roaring off the seat funny guy I've ever seen. I should know-I've seen 5 of his recent small shows in California in the last 5 months. You see the benefits of his high IQ as he throws comedy out on 5 levels at one time. Of course, you'd need to be able to get that, too! Media--get your grubby hands off of this amazing man. I assume all of you are perfect and Robin Williams and his drinking problems is a free for all? Knock it off and settle down to enjoy one of his shows. It will shut you up and make you kinder, while giving you a hell of a night laughing all your own problems away. This guy's got therapy laughter that can only be a good shot in the arm for America right now. You go Robin!
