Rapper Nas tells Jesse Jackson, 'Your time is up!'
Guess who's taken Barack Obama's side against Jesse Jackson?
The Rev. Jackson, as you may or may not recall, was caught on videotape this week whispering during a Fox News interview saying, "See, Barack's been, um, talking down to black people on this faith-based ... I want to cut his ... off."
His words have angered many in the black community. He has apologized. Barack has accepted. But rapper Nas told MTV that the civil rights leader is finished.
"I think Jesse Jackson, he's the biggest player hater," Nas said. "His time is up. All you old ..., time is up. We heard your voice, we saw your marching, we heard your sermons. We don't wanna hear that ... no more. It's a new day. It's a new voice. I'm here now. We don't need Jesse; I'm here. I got this. We got Barack, we got David Banners and Young Jeezys. We're the voice now. It's no more Jesse. Sorry. Goodbye. You ain't helping nobody in the 'hood. That's the bottom line. Goodbye, Jesse. Bye!"

Nas is helping people in the hood? Perhaps as a soundtrack to the despair. I think Young Jeezy's music was playng during the last drive by assasination in my neighborhood...
Jesse has long been a grandstanding fool, but Nas may soon replace him... was Kanye busy that day? Good luck folks. Talk minus Action = zero
Good for Nas! To me, it seems like Jesse Jackson wants the black people to stay depressed and trapped in a 1960's mentality. How else would anyone listen to his tired ****?
No Nas, Hip-Hop is finished. Jesse has done and continue to do more than you and Jeezy ever will! So I say, goodbye to you and your music!!
Jesse's comments were reprehensible, and he most certainly is stuck in the past. But part of the problem with us today some actually think that Nas, David Banner and Young Jeezy are in the same class as Jesse Jackson.
No rapper has ever sacrificed as much, seen as much, or worked as hard to improve the plight of blacks in America as Jesse Jackson. He's not perfect, and yes his time has probably come, but Nas, Banner and Jeezy are not his equals.
I just can't understand why White people are prejudice.
It's way past the time for JJ to go away. He's no better than Imus. He's an individual with individual goals. All he wants to do is complain and take credit for anything he can. This is the crux of the problem. Each race acts different toward the other when they're showing off in a group, than when it's a decent one on one conversation or relationship. I was a victim of this insincerity, long ago, before being forced to the same just to fit in.
This guy bring in the soulja boy thing
