George Clooney pulls a Clark Gable for TV commercial!
George Clooney has long been compared to the late, chiseled-chin silver screen idol Cary Grant.
But it turns out he can also do a darn good Clark Gable.
The Oscar-winning actor, 47, is aping Gable's pencil-thin mustache in a new Martini TV commercial, conveniently filmed in Italy, within spitting distance of Clooney's Lake Como estate.

Clooney, who just recently split from his girlfriend, Sarah Larson, shares drinks with American actress Shannyn Sossamon in the comical commercial. Sossamon, 29, starred in the 2001 Heath Ledger movie "A Knight's Tale."
She wears several scanty ensembles in the ad, during which she and an ascoted George share an undisclosed chuckle with two other women.
Guess we'll just have to wait to find out what the joke is until the commercial airs in Europe. Or better, wait for it to show up on YouTube.com, like his European Nespresso coffee commercials have.

Actually, the girl in the comnercial is not Shannyn Sossamon. It's actress Camilla Belle, who was in "10.000 B.C." and "When a Stranger Calls".

No, Shannyn is in the new Martini commercial. Just follow the highlighted link to see her photo with George taken during the Martini shoot in Italy.
the video you watched is George's most recent Nespresso commercial.
And yes, that is Camilla Belle in a cameo appearance as herself.

No worries! If you're interested, go to YouTube and do a search for george clooney commercials and you can see the early Nespresso ads that had all the French women going ga-ga over Monsieur Clooney when it first came out..
The second one, the commercial I posted, didn't get as good a response. But it will be interesting to see how these Martini ads are. They kinda look goofy from the photos I linked to.
