Who gets your style vote? Cindy McCain or Michelle Obama?
It had to happen. Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama, the wives of the presumptive presidential candidates Republican Sen. John McCain and Democratic Sen. Barack Obama, are coming under style scrutiny.
Us Weekly's cover story this week will be "Michelle Obama: Why Barack Loves Her," citing her penchant for shopping at Target and her love for "Sex and the City," (OK, we may have to take points off for that) in an article about the untold story of a down-to-earth mom and the man who calls her "my rock." Did I mention she's also a bacon lover, as reported on "The View?"
Meanwhile, Cindy McCain has reportly been shopping for some campaign (and possibly inaugural) ready-to-wear and couture.
According to wwd.com, Cindy visited Oscar de la Renta's showroom last week to check out the designer's White House-worthy offerings. And she was seen wearing a suspiciously Chanel-esque wristwatch. And who's inaccessible to blue-collar voters?
With two beige Suburbans and a team of sweltering Secret Service agents in tow, Cindy popped into Oscar's showroom to peruse the designer's duds. He's already got a track record for dressing first lady Laura Bush and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Asked by a WWD reporter how long the potential first lady been shopping, one of her security agents, who was sweltering in the New York heat outside 550 Seventh Ave., removed his sunglasses to wipe his brow and replied, "Way too long."
Oh, I have a feeling this is just the beginning of her shopping excursions, guys.

McCain - not because I am a Republican - it is just because she handles herself with grace and is a class act.
Cindy McCain is clearly superior and looks elegant like Barbie or Paris Hilton, and unlike Michelle Obama knows that women over thiry need plastic surgery and medication. Michelle NObama looks like some sort of hippie in that giant creepy necklace and wierd pants thing - only hippies wear those weird pants under skirts - is that a skirt or a shirt? Who can tell, but I don't want to take a risk on somebody in the white hhouse that wears such strange clothing. We should not have people that try to be fashionable and new in the white house like that, it might give people the wrong ideas. NObama!

Cindy M. is a wonderful first lady with true style. Obama, who hates the United States, would be such an embarrassment in her Target get ups.
I prefer Mrs. McCain she looks like a First Lady. Michelle looks more like a preschool teacher.
Michelle Obama is such a classy lady. She's the woman, with all due respect to Madam McCain, am just thrilled and thus, of the opinion that this couple rocks!

I feel Michelle Obama picks very stylish and appropriate clothes. I prefer her choices over Cindy McCain. Michelle's personality is more refreshingly & original & actually prefer her. Michelle seems more genuine. Cindy is more standard & typical of past/present political wives. I have no objection to Cindy, just enjoy this well educated lady, Michelle
