Is Angelina Jolie a method actor, in reverse?

Is Angelina Jolie a backward Method Actor? In other words, does she take elements from her onscreen characters and bring them into her life?

Why, that's crazy! But that's what Vanity Fair writer Rich Cohen sez.

And after watching his video interview (A Jolie Good Show) and getting an inside peek at Angelina Jolie's life mirroring her art, I think he may have a point. An idiotic point, but a point nonetheless.

What do you think? Does Angie choose roles that bring out parts of her real self or do her film roles impact and inspire her real life?

And what about "Beowulf?" OK, she's a monster, but she's also a loving, protective mother, and she did admit she loved having a tail. Maybe Cohen's onto something.
