Did Harry Potter's Emma Watson snag Keira Knightley's Chanel gig
Boy, they sure do grow up fast!
Emma Watson, 18, best -- and, so far, only -- known as Hermione in the "Harry Potter" films, has reportedly signed on to replace Keira Knightley, 23, as the official face of Chanel's new fragrance, Coco Mademoiselle.
The deal- broken in an English paper, is reportedly 3 million pounds -- almost $6 million -- for a two-year gig. Some late reports have this mysterious new fragrance contract being denied by Chanel. We're waiting for more details. You know how these muggles are, especially when it comes to wizardly fashion deals.
If it's true, was Keira too old for a Mademoiselle gig? Or did Chanel get a bit peeved at how infrequently Keira actually wore Chanel gowns on the red carpets, instead favoring shredded chiffon gowns by Rodarte, like the one she wore, above, to the L.A. premiere of "Atonement."
Interestingly, a source told The Sun, "Chanel has been dressing Emma for film premieres and parties in recent months to integrate her into the brand."
Let this be a lesson to Emma, who was born in France. Read the fine print on these fragrance ads! And keep wearing that double C!

umm this post was just... i love both girls. i both think they are amazing actresses and fashion icons but Emma Watson has already been signed to Chanel like a year ago, so i dont know why people are acting like this is new. im pretty sure chanel didnt care what Keira was wearing even though Emma does wear Chanel EVERYWHERE she go. People dont ever know whats going on just like when Emma Watson "took" the role that Scarlet Johason was playing. Truth is that Scarlet felt that the roll was too young for her to play. And come on..who would replace the star of Atonement and Pride and Prejudice over a Harry Potter star, I love Harry Potter but Emma is not as famous as Keira Knightley.
i really don't like that pose at all. its so .....STUPID!!!!!! if i were famous i wouldn't pose like that at all i don't now why she poses like that any way its like she really is a hunchback after all... if i were emma watson i wouldn't copy someone like THAT i would make my own pose. thats a weird pose. my question is why do people think she wants to copy her
Chanel wants women who are notorious for being independent and sexy, not fearing what could happen to their careers because they take risks. There is nothing sexy about Emma Watson if men have to ask themselves "how old is she again?"
