Happy 33rd B-Day, Angelina Jolie! But where the heck are you?
"Entertainment Tonight" reported the birth of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's twins on May 30.
According to my ET sources, an ET producer who heard rumors about the birth was in contact with Jolie's assistant, who confirmed the birth.
But the report was almost immediately denied by People magazine. "It's not true. It's a rumour," Pitt's L.A.-based manager, Cynthia Pett-Dante, also told Reuters in a statement. And a law firm repping Jolie now insists that an imposter has misled news organizations, and that the birth report was false.
The firm, Lavely & Singer, sent out a warning letter Monday to two dozen news outlets, according to the New York Times. "A random individual has engaged in a scheme to intentionally harm my client and deceive her fans, the public and the media through illegal and tortuous impersonation of Ms. Jolie's longtime assistant, Holly," the letter said.
ET has not officially retracted its story. But the item has been removed from its website. A new statement has just been obtained from ET, which will be released wide later today.

"The first time Entertainment Tonight was notified about an alleged imposter was on Monday, June 2nd, when an attorney for Angelina Jolie informed us that an individual has been impersonating Ms. Jolie's assistant (Holly Goline) in the the guise of the e-mail Holly@tmo.blackberry.net (the source of our original confirmation).

Entertainment Tonight takes this very seriously and is, of course, concerned that the show may have been victimized by someone allegedly posing as a member of Ms. Jolie's team. We are actively investigating the matter and are reaching out to law enforcement agencies. Additionally, we have volunteered to work with Angelina Jolie's lawyers to aid in their own investigation."

So that's good that everyone is working together to get to the bottom of this strange faux Holly. But here's an odd thing: Angie has not been seen or photographed for well over 10 days.
The uber-famous couple and their brood have been regular paparazzi bait, photographed often since their arrival in France, including landing at the airport, going for a boat ride, taking beach walks, hanging out on the patio of Paul Allen's Saint Cap Ferrat estate and publically shopping for baby clothing in Cannes and dining privately with "Changeling" director Clint Eastwood at a local restaurant during the Cannes International Film Festival.
So where is Angelina? It's her 33rd birthday today. If she would only show her face -- and her bump -- all these birth rumors would be instantly put to rest, without having to waste money paying expensive lawyers to write threatening letters to news organizations.
Hey, I'm just being practical. A simple bump shot would save a bundle! And that money could be better spent if it were donated to the couple's many charities, no?
Hmmm ... What do you think?

Are the twins ill, deformed?
Is ANgelina trying to get her body back before she shows herself?
highly suspicious
Brad and Maddox were in Italy on Sunday and Brad bought her gifts in Switzerland yesterday. An entertainment program that is so stubborn that they won't admit to being stupid is not Ms. Jolie's problem. She does not need to show herself to anyone and owes nothing to gossips, unlike some entertainers who would have had a "convinient "photo op and tried to look innocent.
Angelina said in Cannes that she wasn't going to appear in public for a couple of months. She wanted to enjoy the last part of her pregnancy in private. No mystery.
Since AP has obtained emails that prove Angelina's assistant refuted ET's claim about the twins birth before the show went on the air, I would be more interested in why ET is so adamant in sticking with their story. Makes them look more foolish. And who at CNN gave the erroneous info to the ET producer? If the CNN connection is true.
without having to waste money paying expensive lawyers to write threatening letters to news organizations.
>>>>>>>>>
Actually, that letter doesn't cost a lot of money to write and send out. I don't imagine it cost more than US$10,000 even given that it took a partner from a law form charging US$1,000 an hour, 8 hours to write it and some low level paralegal another 8 hours at US$50 and hour to send it out to all the news agencies.
After that, all the MONEY spent on investigations are being done by ET and other stupid tabloids. And neither ET or any of the tabloids or entertainment shows are giving any of that money to charities. They'll just have less money for their bonuses. Not a bad thing that.
It is not unusual at all for a woman expecting twins to be on partial or complete bed rest in the last trimester, by Doctor's orders. It IS, however, very unusual to see a woman expecting twins on her feet in high heels and long gowns for hour upon hour. According to recent photos, it appears the Angelina was not yet in the last 8 weeks where the expectant twin mom can prepare for a good deal of swelling and weight gain. At that point, it seems that the woman expecting multiples is pregnant in every area of her body. Everything is big, swollen, puffy, and ungainly. It would stand to reason that Angelina is now on bed rest at doctor's orders. It is in everyone's best interests that those babies come as close to their due date as possible. Every day counts. It's also just not that easy to be up and about in the last trimester of a multiples' pregnancy. Been there, Done that, Got the Twinkies to prove it. :-)
Why should she show her bump because of false rumors. With all the rumors how can you live your life. The woman is expecting. She has given many photo ops. Leave her alone. .
Why the hell does she need to show her pregnant belly because ET didn't do due diligence and verify the source? What's the first rule of journalism? ALWAYS VERIFY YOUR SOURCE!!! Don't blame Angelina for their lack of journalistic integrity.
