Kim Cattrall brings sex back to NYC with new HBO show

Kim_cattrallCan you handle more Samantha?

HBO thinks so.

"Sex and the City" star Kim Cattrall will  star in another HBO comedy series set in New York.

And she plays -- drum roll, please -- a middle-aged wife/mother who rediscovers her sexuality and begins to question her life choices.

Gosh, this role sounds like a real stretch mark for the actress who played a voracious, sexually charged middle-aged woman in "SATC."

According to EW, the show will be an adaptation of the British series "Sensitive Skin," which aired on BBC Two, starring Joanna "(Absolutely Fabulous") Lumley (the British version of Cattrall) as a well-to-do former model working at an London art gallery.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Cattrall will also executive produce the show, which Emmy-winning "Sopranos" scribes Mitchell Burgess and Robin Green are writing. The show is part of the pact Cattrall made with HBO when she signed on to do the "Sex in the City" movie.

It will be the second post-"SATC" collaboration between the actress and HBO, after 2005's documentary "Kim Cattrall: Sexual Intelligence," which she produced and starred in.

Hey, it could work. And it's bound to be better than anything we've seen lately on the failing cable network. We miss "The Sopranos," "Deadwood" and "Entourage." Heck, we even miss "John from Cincinnati." And "In Treatment" is more boring than our own therapy.
