Naomi Campbell charged with assault (again)! Got a problem with that?
Naomi Campbell was seen in tears after leaving Sean "Diddy" Combs' yacht party at Cannes last week.
Now she's really got something to cry about: being charged with assault.
The British Crown Prosecution Service today charged Naomi Campbell with alledgedly assaulting not one but two police officers in an outburst in Heathrow Airport.
The supermodel, whose charges could carry a maximum six-month jail sentence and fines, will be brought to trial on June 20.
Campbell was also charged with disorderly conduct and using threatening behavior and abusive words to the cabin crew. The dispute purportedly arose over lost luggage on a British Airways flight, a flight from which Campbell was forcibly removed.
Hey, we've all been there, Naomi. Lost luggage is upsetting, but it's not worth assaulting a bunch of bobbies.
I guess it's "Once a Diva, always a Diva."
According to AP, this is not Campbell's first assault. In 2000, she pleaded guilty in Toronto to an assault charge for beating an assistant while filming in Canada in 1998. Under an agreement with prosecutors, Campbell had remorse and was released without punishment or a criminal record.
In January 2007, Campbell pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault in New York for throwing her cellphone at her maid in a dispute over a missing pair of jeans. She was ordered to do community service and attend a two-day anger-management program.
I'd say Little Miss Diva should stay longer than just two days in an anger-management program this time.
Does this woman have volcanic rage issues?
